"Kian! Stop!" I giggled. He was currently chasing me around the house with a light saber after watching the new Star Wars teaser. (A.N. Yes I know this movie already came out but the timeline of this isn't quite up to current times)
"Faith, I am your father!" Kian said in a Darth Vader voice.
"If this is your way of hinting that you want me to call you 'daddy', it isn't going to work." I busted up laughing as I crouched behind the counter.
He crept up behind me and held the toy weapon against my throat. "Any last words?"
"If you want to be authentic, you should chop off my hand. Everyone gets their hand chopped off in these movies!" I laughed, moving the light saber to my wrist.
"Fine. Now do you have any last words?" He rolled his eyes as he chuckled.
I didn't know what came over me, but I suddenly knew what my last words would be.
"I-I love you." I said quietly. He dropped the light saber and crouched down next to me.
"You do?"
I nodded. His face lit up like a kid on Christmas.
"I've been waiting to say the same thing. I just didn't know if it was too soon. I can't believe this! This is great. I want to t-."
I cut off his lovey dovey rambling by crashing my lips into his. I could feel him smile as our lips meshed together.
Yes, it was too soon. But hey, we're young and in love. Give us a break.
"Hey, are you up?" Kian whispered in my ear. It was only 8 pm but I was exhausted after our earlier activities. (😏😉). I groaned as I shoved a pillow on top of my face.
"I am now." I mumbled.
"You've gotten a ton of texts in the last half an hour. You may want to check it." His voice was gentle as he spoke to me. He smoothed my crazy hair down while handing me my phone.
I glanced at my phone, that was still lighting up frequently. What's so important?
Jessie, Manager- Call me!!
Jessie, Manager- Faith, I have big news.
Jessie, Manager- It's important!
Jessie, Manager- fine, I'll just tell you.
Jessie, Manager-Drum roll please!
Jessie, Manager- You were asked to audition for a movie! 🎉🎉I dropped my phone, neglecting to read any other texts she sent. Me? In a movie? How do they know if I can even act? Why did they want me?
"What is it?" Kian asked, resting his head next to mine. I simply handed him my phone. My jaw was still dropped to the floor.
I watched his eyes as he read. I could tell he had read the last message when his eyes widened and he grinned widely.
He say straight up. "Holy shit Fay! This is so cool! You have to call her and get more information!"
I sat up and dialed her number. My anticipation levels rose and rose with every ring.
"Faith! So glad you called. Did you get my texts?" Jessie chirped as she answered.
"Yes I did! Tell me more details about this movie!" I replied, putting her speaker phone so Kian could hear as well.
"Well, it's a lovely romance, almost like a Nicholas Sparks book, but with a twist. It's also a murder mystery, where the main girl, hopefully you, has been in love with the murderer the whole time! Isn't that thrilling?" Jessie squealed with excitement.
I contemplated the plot for a moment. Not Oscar worthy, but sounded like a way to get my foot in the door.
"When's the audition?" I asked happily.
"Oh I knew you'd love it. It's tomorrow at 12 pm. The directors and producers would like to come to your home, so you're the most comfortable! Also, they casted the male role today and he'll be there to read lines with you. Test the chemistry! I have to run now, so I'll see you tomorrow! Have a good night!" And with that, Jessie hung up.
"Dude, this is awesome!" Kian cheered. He grabbed me, pushing me back onto the bed. He hovered over me, in a plank position. "I'm so glad I get to love someone like you."
"You're such a dweeb!" I giggled, reaching up to kiss him.
As I lay in bed that night, all it could think of was the audition. Who was the male role? Would we have chemistry? Would I even be good? I barely got any sleep. My body was too full of anxiety and excitement. I couldn't wait until tomorrow.
(A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! This is a quick little update to ride you all over during the winter holiday. Maybe you read it while you're relatives are being super rude and insensitive as most are! Or you read it in the car! Wherever/whenever you read it, I hope you enjoyed it. Yes, them doing the frick frack is implied here 😉)
