"Silence!" The guard snarled as he jerked the chains binding Rage's arms. Rage hissed in pain and closed his eyes.
"You have committed an unforgivable crime." Goddess Theá said in a cold voice. Rage just looked up and met Theá's stare defiantly, the blood running from his mouth.
"All three of you." Theá's icy stare bored into them. Rail coughed, rapidly blinking his black, swollen eye.
"Normally I would kill such criminals on the spot, but that would be too merciful. I could also hurl you into the Phantom Pit, but that also would be too kind of me." Theá gripped Rage by the throat, lifting him off the ground to her hight, until they were staring eye to eye.
"What I have found to be the most cruel and heartless punishment of all however..." she began to close her hand. Rage struggled for breath.
"...Is a curse. A curse that never leaves, that plagues the victim relentlessly. That drives him mad." She dropped Rage to the floor where his legs gave out, and he crumpled to the ground, gasping for air.
She strode past Rail to Rain, who's beautiful features looked shabby in comparison to Theá's unnatural beauty. Blood ran down Rain's face from a gash in her cheek. She was doubled over in pain, resulting from a broken rib. Her lib was busted and bleeding, and her fighting garb was torn and muddy.
"I curse you all with immortality, which only a Oracle Blade may destroy, to languish in your punishment for all eternity." She strode over to Rage again.
"You," She jolted him off the floor by his chains and lifted him up again, dangling like a puppet, the iron cutting into his wrists, "are cursed with eternal vigilance, will will never sleep, and never feel inclined to." Theá dropped him again and moved to Rail.
She grabbed Rail's chin and jerked his head up to meet her icy gaze. His sprained jaw slightly lolled open, revealing his bloody mouth, with broken and missing teeth, and sliced tongue.
"You are cursed with the absence of pain. You will never know when your body cannot handle any more, before it totally gives out. You will never feel pain."She strode over to Rain, her long flowing dress silently trailing across the floor behind her.
"You. So beautiful, such a shame you chose this path."
"I'd do it again if I could." Rain shot back, gritting her teeth.
"You are cursed with the lack of one of your five senses when you need it most. Whenever you have a great need for touch, smell, sight, taste, or hearing, it will be taken from you at that very moment, and only given back when you are not in need of it."
"Goddess Theá, there is one other thing," Rage stated, defiance and triumph in his eyes, "unless you find a substitute for Thánatos, every human being in the world is immortal." He grinned as Theá stiffened.
"Your crime will be remedied quickly," her face was contorted, and her jaw was clenched, "but as for you..." She raised he hands above her head. Her controlled tone of voice became a shout that shook the extraterrestrial building, "BE GONE FROM MY SIGHT, AND LIVE IN MISERY!"
