******DISCLAIMER******

I have been very busy as of late, we've been having trouble at the farm, trouble with school, and I haven't had too much inspiration. Sorry that this chapter is so short, this is all I've been inspired and able to write in two weeks (Lame, lame, lame, and pitiful. I know.) Really sorry I suck so badly everyone, I hope to make the next chapter longer and more interesting.

The loud ringing of pickaxes against rock sounded through the air as Kyria walked towards the Thrylos mound that she had always been warned to stay away from. The sound grew louder as she approached the mound. A man passed her with a cart filled with rock, heading towards the village, he grunted in greeting, and she nodded in return.
"Ah, Kyria," Elder Ándras greeted, issuing from the mineshaft in the mound, with rock dust sticking to his sweaty forehead. "It is unfortunate that it would come to this," he gestured to an old man trudging past with a pickaxe on his shoulder. "That accursed Kósmima gem will be the ruin of us."

"Alright," Kyria started, letting her confusion and frustration show, "why would you let that necromancer freak help you, how did he help you, and what in the gods' name is a Kósmima gem?!"

Ándras sighed, "calm yourself Kyria. I will tell you.
It all started forty seven years ago, this country was at war with our neighboring one, the enemy's army was marching straight through our village to the battle field. The powerful necromancer happened to be traveling through when he realized our plight and realized that we had a Thrylos Mound. He agreed to save us from utter destruction if we would dig in the mound and give him the Kósmima Gem from within. We agreed to the deal and promised to get the Kósmima Gem if he would stop the army from destroying our village. When the army approached, he met them, and utterly vanquished them. Not a man died, but none were left unharmed or unwounded. Then he uttered a loud spell and stamped on the ground. The army literally disappeared. With only the tousled soil and blood to prove that there even had been an army." He concluded, hailing a man emerging from the mine.

Then a loud piercing agonized scream echoed from the mine, followed by a gust of hot air erupting out of the shaft.
