It was a Thursday, and it had been five days since my run-in with Harry. After my usual repetitive way of going to the beach, I decided it would be interesting to take a leisure route on my beach-cruiser which I rarely used.

It was pale pink with a basket.

I absolutely adored it, yet I never used it.

So, on a near 80 degree morning, I rode it.

I casually was pedaling and was about to ride onto the beach to park my bike, when someone yelled.

"Lily, no! Get out of the way!"

I had been looking behind me to see a new shop that had just been placed, before whipping my head forward and seeing a little girl scream and not move.

My eyes bulged out of my head and I felt faint, but still had an adrenaline rush.

I swerved out of the way, and hit a brick wall that was about three feet tall.

My body was caught under my bike, and I was under a concrete table that had a coca-cola umbrella on it.

I felt dizzy, and light-headed, unsure of what exactly to do.

Breathing heavily, I was somewhat aware of the huge group of people crowding around me.

I shut my eyes, too exhausted to care.

"Hey, hey! Back away! She'll be fine, I got her! I know the gal! Let me in here! Please leave! Continue on!" Someone yelled.

My body was taken out from under the bike and picked up.

"Lily," they growled, "You get back here!"

I heard small footsteps.

Soon, the sun seemed brighter, and I was set down on something soft.

"Hey, Harry, isn't that the same girl-"

"Shh! Hey, babe. Madison? Isn't that your name? Come on, open your eyes!"

After I processed the command I slowly opened my eyes.

"Hmm?" I rubbed my head.

It was none other than Harry.

"Thank god! Jesus, once again, I'm so sorry! I'll help you get home. If you want to, anyway. Need ice?"

He spoke to fast as I rubbed my head.

"Please talk slower," I huffed, attempting to laugh.

He chuckled down at me. Same curly hair, green eyes, and long torso that had greeted me a few days earlier.

"Anyways, Lily is very sorry and- Holy shit! I need the help clean you up! You have a giant scrape on your calf!" Harry exclaimed, helping me to sit up.

"It's erm. It's fine. I can get home, no, no need to help me clean up," I said quickly.

I just wanted to sleep, and relax. My head was pounding! I tried to stand up, but when I did I lost my balance but caught it barely.

"No! Please, just let me help. You'll be fine. I can help you, just lay down okay? I'll run to the drugstore. Just stay here with Lily."

I nodded and flopped back down, covering my eyes with a towel.

Exhaling a deep breath, someone poked me.

"Hmm?" I looked up and noticed lily.

She had this extremely worried look on her face, and her bottom lip quivered, "I'm... I'm sorry!"

"It's no problem sweetie," I played it off, sparing her feelings, "I'll be okay."

She shook her head, "I... I was only scared that... That you'd end up like mommy and dada!"

Lily plopped in the sand and started bawling. From the way she stated that, it was clear that her and Harry's parents had been in some accident, and died.

No wonder his aunt took care of her.

"Lily!" I assured her, "Everything will be alright! Please stop, lily it's okay. Just be more careful?"

I couldn't stand the little girl's crying, so I put aside the pain and say up.

"Lily, come here doll," I asked.

She stood up wobbly, and came to sit by my lap.

I cradled her in my arms and kissed her forehead, soothing her.

"Calm down, kiddo. It's alright," I coaxed.

Soon enough, a hand grabbed onto my shoulder.

"Madison?"

I looked up and found Harry, with dripping wet hair and his T-Shirt stuck to his body from recent contact with salt water.

Lily was near sleep in my arms, so Harry gave me the plastic bag he was holding in exchange for her.

He began rocking her back and forth and quietly whispered, "I bought you water, cotton balls, a couple snacks, some band-aids, antibiotics and ice."

I looked up at him and smiled.

He gave a hand-motion which showed to hold tight, and ran off.

I laid back down on the beach towel and waited.

About ten minutes after, Harry came back.

"Let me help you with that... Glad I caught you actually! I wanted to ask you something..." He explained while searching through the bag.

Pulling out the antibiotics and cotton balls, he smiled down at me and laughed nervously.

"Well, also... Um, sorry about Lily. Well I mean... About you getting hurt," his one dimple showed.

He continued talking, "So I think-"

"Ouch!" I interjected. He retracted quickly, wondering if he had hurt me.

"I'm so sorry! Did that sting?"

All I could do was nod and clench my eyes closed.

"Here, squeeze my hand if it hurts. I can take it," he winked.

I couldn't help but giggle and agree, reaching for his hand.

Each time a shock of pain would hit me, I'd squeal and grasp it tighter.

In about a minute, he was completely finished.

"All done, babe," he claimed, patching my calf up with band-aids.

He gave it a gentle rub and smiled.

"Well, what I wanted to ask was... There's a music festival going on... In like two days? Maybe you'd come with me, I don't know. I have an extra ticket! So it's free?" He shrugged nervously.

Harry lent a hand and pulled me up.

"Yeah, that sounds like a fun time... You don't have to act like I'd never say yes," I laughed, looking down to my feet.

"Cool! So, like. You could text me? And we can talk..."
