Anger welled up inside. I'm going to kill Daniel Jones! He should have never messed with her. I clenched my fists and jumped down from the examination table. "How far along?" I asked through gritted teeth. "Not very long. About three months." He replied. "Does Lex know?" I asked, trying calm myself even though these lies she told ran through my mind like a forest fire. "No, she doesn't. I thought that since you're the father, I figured you would want to tell her." He replied matter-factly. "I'M NOT THE FATHER." I stressed. He looked at me peculiarly. "Where is she?" I asked. "I'll take you to her." He said. He took me down a hall, through double doors and up two floors. Finally, we reached her room. "Here it is. I'll leave you two alone." He said. Opening the door and letting me in, shutting the door behind me. Lex lay on the hospital bed in a hospital gown, her arms fully disposed. Bruises, scraps and gashes lined them. She was connected to various machines and her eyes were closed. "Lex?" I choked out. It hurt to see her hurt like this and me not even knowing about it. Her eyes fluttered open. "Blake!" She exclaimed, reaching her arms out to me. I hugged her. "How are you?" I whispered, sitting in a chair beside the bed. "I'm good. Really good." She replied quietly. "So, I'm guessing you're going to tell me that Daniel didn't do that either?" I asked, bitterly. "Blake." She stopped me. "He didn't." She added. "Oh really? I guess he didn't get you PREGNANT either, now did he?" I asked/told, tears welling up in my eyes. "What? I'm not pregnant! And I have never done--- th-that either." She faultered. "Why would you even say such a thing?" She cried out, finding her voice. "Because you are! Why would you lie to me?!" I yelled. "I can't be..." She said. "Well, you are. The doctor just told me and he thought I was the father! Thought I defiled you in such a way!" I yelled. "How?" She asked, quietly. "How do you think?" I asked, running my hands through my hair. "Defiled me?" She asked, quietly. "Yes." I replied. "Who--who did it?" I asked. "Blake-- I-I want to t-tell you, but I-I can't." She replied.

Lexi

I couldn't tell him about Brycin, I just couldn't. He would die! "What do you mean " You can't?" He asked, frustrated and tired. "If I tell you, you'll-- you'll die." I replied. "What the hell are you talking about? You can tell me anything. I won't die." I replied. "But, I-I don't know..." I replied. He sighed, scratching his head. "Whoever did it, won't hurt me, they'll go to jail." He replied. We're safe here, right? Small window, but he couldn't get through. "Lock the door. and--and the window." He looked at me strangely. "What?" He asked. "Just do it." I replied. He got up and locked both then came and sat back down. He looked at me, expectantly. "Brycin Camden." I answered. "What about him?" He asked, curiously. "He did it all." "What are you talking about? Brycin is a really nice guy." He replied. "I thought that too, until I dated him..." I told. "What? I said, he's a nice guy, not someone for you to date! Good Grief!" He replied. "He was nice for a little while, but then I wanted a break, some time to think about somethings. I told him this and he got angry. He--he started hi-tting m-mmee and---" I stopped, crying so hard in cruel remembrance. I looked at Blake, he stared at me in disbelief. Summoning all my courage, I relayed the worst part, "He raped me that night and I didn't come home until the next morning because he wouldn't let me..." I cried out the horrific news. Tears welled up in Blake's eyes. I burst out crying, "I'm sorry, Blake! I'm so sorry!" I cried, a sinking feeling welling up in my stomach. "It's not your fault, I just wish you would have told me sooner." He whispered.

Blake

This Brycin will pay. He will pay...  Lexi was crying her poor eyes out, but I had to take care of HIM. I didn't want to leave Lex alone though, knowing all this. Who can I get to stay with her? Her parents? No, she needs a friend. A guy friend though. I hated to think of her alone with some other guy, but I had no other choice. I grabbed Lexi's phone, glancing at the time: 9:00pm, before clicking on her contacts. A, B, C, D! I got down to Danny's number and clicked to call. It started ringing. I looked for Lexi, but didn't see her, I turned around, then realizing she was in the bathroom. Good. "Danny?" I answered. "Blake? Why are you calling me? If this is about Lex and I, it's nothing, I promise."  He said. "No, can you come down to Fraser Kuhn Medical Hospital?" I got straight to the point. "What? Why? and what for?" He asked. "I need you, just come please. For Lex." I said. "Alright, um, sure. I don't know how Dad will let me, but sure." He said. "Thank God! I'll see you in the Lobby." I said, hanging up. Lexi came out of the bathroom, face red from crying. "When can you get out of here?" I asked. "Probably tomorrow morning. They said I should stay overnight." She answered calmly. "Alright, Great." I answered. "What happened to your head?" She asked, sitting on the bed, her feet dangling. "I... I hit it on my truck's frame." I replied. "Do you have a concussion?" "Yeah, I'll be fine." I said. She looked down at her feet. "I'm sorry about all this." She said. "Yeah, I know." I replied.  "I'll be right back. Lock the door." I said. "Where are you going?" She asked, her head jerking up. "Don't worry about it, I'll be back." I said, shutting her door behind me. After many twists and turns and an elevator ride, I got down to the Lobby. I saw Danny sitting in a chair. "Danny!" I called. He looked towards me and got up. "Hey, what's this about?" He asked. "Long Story, just protect Lex for me, I have work to do." I said, meaning every word. "Protect her? From what?" He asked, walking along side me. "I can't explain. Lex will. Just go. And lock the door behind you." I said. He looked at me skeptically. "What room number?" "319" I replied. He stepped onto the elevator. I gave him a look of "Don't Fail."   I walked to the front desk. "Ma'am?" "Yes, sir? What can I do for you?" She asked. "Don't let anyone visit 319 without calling up and asking permission, please." I said. "Why, sir?" She asked. "I can't explain, just please..."
