Chapter Twenty Seven

We arrived at the airport as we said thank you and good bye to Elizabeth. Then we checked in and went to our gate. It was already 11:30pm and this long car ride made me a little tired. I was sitting next to Cameron as my mom sat on the other side of him. Cameron just kept talking and talking what made me even more tired. After a while I just fell asleep, I didn't want to be rude by not listening to him but I was just so tired.

"Kim" someone said. I couldn't recognized the voice. I opened my eyes and saw it was Cameron weaking me up. "We are in LA right now, get up!" He said teasing me a bit. I mumbled a few words and then I took my bag and walked out of the plane.

We took a cab to our house. It wasn't an annoying car ride. It felt good to be in LA again. Mom was talking to the driver and Cameron was on the phone with someone. I looked at my phone to see if I have gotten any messages but none. I changed school too of course, but I didn't make any friends. Literally no one even talks to me, only teachers, but at least they don't bully me.

"Kim" Cameron suddenly takes me out of my thoughts. "I have some good news," he begins, "New Years Eve, we're going out!" he finished. "What?" my mom asked. "No you're not" she said with an angry tone in her voice. "Please mom, all my friends are going", Cameron kept begging and begging as mom finally agreed. "But Kim stays home, she's only 15 years old" my mom said clearly. "But moooom..." I tried. She shook her head. "I got a surprise for her!" Cameron added. What made me turn my head to him. "Surprise?" He nodded. Mom didn't respond directly. And then finally "Fine than, but you need to look out for her" I smiled at Cameron and whispered a 'thank you'. I'll hope I like this surprise.

When we got home it was 5AM. We paid the driver and went inside. I put my bag and suitcase in the living room and went upstairs. I went to my room and took some nice warm pyjamas. It was cold. I undressed myself and put on my pyjamas. I jumped into bed and covered myself with the blankets. "Good night" Cameron said opening my door "good night" I mumbled back. Mom came in and said the same as I wished her sweet dreams. She closed the door as I switched off the lights. My eyes became heavy as I fell asleep.

I woke up with the sun shining in my eyes. I forgot to close the curtains yesterday. I took my phone and looked at the time, it was only 9:30 AM, way too early. So I decided to get back in bed. A few moments later I heard something, but couldn't figure out what it was. When I opened my eyes again, I saw Cameron about to jump on me. I tried to roll over but he was already on top of me.

"Look who's here" he said handing me Cali. We brought the dogs to the neighbors because we couldn't leave them all alone of course. "I missed you so so much Cali!!" I yelled hugging my dog like a freak. He barked of excitement. "Thanks Cam" I said. He smiled and walked out of my room.

I was still so tired and had such a big jetlag but I smelled pancakes so I took Cali in my arms and headed downstairs.

"Pancakessss!!!" I yelled arriving in the kitchen. My mom smiled, she was also still tired. I took a seat and started eating. They were so good.

"Cam, what do you want to do today?" I asked. "I don't know, I was thinking of doing nothing at all" he said pretty convinced. "Well, I was actually thinking of going to the mall to get some Christmas gifts for Jaxx and Cali" I said trying to convince him to join me. "That's a great idea, it's not because they're dogs that they shouldn't get any presents" mom said cleaning the table. Cameron nodded. "That's true"

We helped my mom with the dishes before we went upstairs. Then I ran to the bathroom so I would be the first one to shower. "Loser" I giggled when I heard Cameron mumble something. It's always a race between us. And most of the time he wins because his room is closer to the bathroom then mine.

I stripped down and went into the shower. The warm water that touched my skin made me feel so much more awake. I shampooed my hair and washed my skin.

I went out of the shower and took a towel and wrapped it around my wet hair. I took another one and wrapped it around my body. It was so hot because of the hot water I used. I took my toothbrush and brushed my teeth. I put on some mascara, not too much and that was it. I looked around searching for my clothes. Damit, I forgot them in my room. I decided to blowdry my hair first. When I finished I knocked on the door. "Cameron?" I wondered if he was still waiting at the door. "Yes?" he answered. This is going to be so awkward.

I opened the door to see Cameron holding his stuff. "Euhm..." he looked away. "Forgot my clothes again" he chuckled and let me pass. I forget them all the time, it's horrible. I quickly walked to my room and picked out my warm blue Christmas sweater and a matching jeans. I slipped on some Vans, which I love, and went looking for Cali.

"Cali! Cali!" I yelled through the house. I heard him barking from Camerons room. I went there and saw him playing with Jaxx. He's so small when you compare him to Jaxx. I played with them as I was waiting for Cameron.

"Ready?" Cameron asked. "Yes" I smiled. We went outside and left the dogs home. Our House wasn't that far from the mall so we decided to go by foot.

"I just got a message from Jack, they're also in LA at the moment, do you mind if we meet up?" Cameron asked. I shook my head. "No problem" I've never met them before, no one from the whole Magcon group besides Nash, Cam, Hayes and Carter. I wonder how they're like.

We walked a little further and went into the pet store. I decided to buy Cali a teddy bear with Merry Christmas on its belly. Cameron bought some expensive candy for Jaxx.

When we walked out of the store I bumped into a boy and almost fell, luckily he could just catch me in time. "Sorry" I said looking up. "It's okay" he said. His eyes were checking mine. We stood up as Cameron said hi to them. "So happy to finally meet you" the other boy said. I looked confused when they hugged. "Oh, Kim, these are Jack and Jack" Cameron helped me. "Oh, sorry, nice to meet you guys" I said giving them both a hug. "Nice to meet you too, and just to be clear I'm Johnson and he's Gilinsky" Jack Johnson said.  "And who is this?" Cameron asked looking at the girl who was hanging on Gilinsky. "I'm Madison Beer" she hugged Cameron and gave me a hand. I have a feeling that she wont like me.

We went to a small restaurant as a few girls asked for a photo with Jack & Jack and Cameron. I took their phones and snapped some pictures. I gave it back as one of the girls came to me. "You're Hayes' girlfriend right?" She asked. I shook my head. "No, I'm not anymore" I answered what made her confused. "What happened?" They all suddenly started asking. "Nothing, it just didn't work out between us" I said. I couldn't say the truth, he would be hated on social network, and I didn't want that, I'm not angry at him anymore too.

The girls nodded. "Can we also take a picture with you?" they asked politely. I nodded. Cameron took one of the girls phone and took the picture. I saw Madison glaring from behind him what made me feel uncomfortable. The girls thanked us and left.

We entered the restaurant and asked for a table for five. The waiter showed us our table as we all sat down. I was sitting next to Cameron and Johnson as Gilinsky was sitting in front of Johnson with Madison next to him.

We ordered our meals as we talked. I like the Jacks, and I have nothing against Madison but she's making me feel uncomfortable the whole time. "Are you guys staying for New Year's eve?" Cameron asked. They nodded. "That's great, then we can go out together" I said. We all agreed as we finished our meal.
