New Year Special, aye! Enjoy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

"Seems like you guys had tons of fun." Kendra looked adorably upset. "Without me." She pouted her lips to the side and stared down her feet.

Louise and I hooked arms together with her in both her sides, chuckling and snuggled close to each other while we walked in the cold, busy streets on our way to a diner. I was always on her right while Louise was on her left.

"We figured you're always busy with Ezra." I said as something flickered an unpleasant look on her face, though I could see she was hiding it. "We don't judge, right Louise?" Just then, I switched my gaze to Louise who was already looking at me.

She nodded enthusiastically in agreement. Too enthusiastically if you ask me.

"What's important is that we're spending time together now." Louise said. "Just the three of us. Like old times." I could spot the venom and the sarcasm she spat in those words though I'm sure we were both glad that we could finally get a hold of Kendra to ourselves.

"Actually..." Kendra squeaked, looking guilty. Louise and I eyed her suspiciously.

Right on cue, Kendra's phone rang, indicating the caller was Ezra.

My grip on my sugary drink tightened and I huffed and violently rolled my eyes, surprised that my eyeballs haven't popped out yet while Louise groaned and shook her head in dissatisfaction, also bringing her free hand to her face to add more effect to show how upset and annoyed she was. We knew it'd happen so it was fun while it lasted.

Kendra just gave an apologetic look and squeezed our arms while she brought us closer to her so we wouldn't go apart.

They talked for a while, Kendra laughed few times and finally, "yeah. I'll see you later, bye." She flirted then ended the call.

Louise pretended to have sweat dripping from her forehead as she wiped it off to show relief. "Hope I don't go through that again." Obvious irritation flowed with each word. I just shook my head in dismay and averted my gaze elsewhere because it was seriously getting awkward. I shook my cup of caramel frappuccino with the tip of my fingers out of habit and realized it's halfway done. Another thing to be worried about.

I value my friendship to the moon and back and we're seriously lacking of bonding with each other. To my surprise, Kendra was still on her device, texting no other than Ezra. This guy makes the pit of my stomach churn so bad, I had to call a priest to make sure I wasn't pregnant with a demon infant. Oh dear Lord, what's even worse I only had it with girls. Anyway, this guy is your typical football player. Swooning girls and later on, their personality wither on with their sweet gestures, but who am I to destroy my best friend's happiness? She's a sucker for love, I guess.

"Come on, you girlies, brighten up." I cheered but almost stopped myself and gave up. Almost and I didn't. "Want a treat from me? You guys could use some."

"Nah, I'm cool." Louise replied glumly as she stared down her feet while we walked.

As for Kendra, she just looked speechless and her facial expression devoid of emotion.

I sighed as we continued walking towards the diner.

13 hours earlier.

"No way! Really?" She squealed in excitement. Her joyfulness radiated greatly that it rubbed off on me too. Her eyes shimmered from the street lights, exposing a bit of her honey coloured eyes. I may have a thing for brown eyed people.

"Yes, really!" I replied cheerfully as her.

It delighted me to see her light up. She usually hides herself beneath the books she reads and it's a shame really, she needs to know how beautiful she looks, she has this kind of beauty that's different among her cousins. Don't get me wrong, they all looked like they came out from a magazine but Chanel's something else. Her innocence and her pureness what makes her so unique. Time to beat that pussy up then, I'll be her first.
