Chapter 20

Jessie's POV

"Wow wow, slow down boy" Aiden called out to Shadow who is too exciting right now, pulling the leash with him really hard. He turned around and barked while waving his tail in happy. I smiled at him and got to my knee to pet him gently. He replied with a licking in my face nonstop. It made me giggle so much as I tried to hold the big boy down. God, I miss this boy so much.

I remembered everybody had had a heart attack when they heard me wake up. Janey and Taylor just hugging me without a thought of letting go. Aunt Aurelia cried really hard when she saw me, she couldn't speak a completely word. Dad was trying to be masculine but in the end he left out a couple of tear, it made me surprised that he's never cried except mom funeral. Liam, Vince and Jacob were there too but the only one that didn't show up was Mike. And I know why...

"Okay, run ahead Shadow" Aiden patted him and unchained the leash. As soon as he did, Shadow noticed a squirrel and run after it. I smiled at the excited chasing between him and the squirrel.

"Baby, you okay?" Aiden pulled me close to his side and I raised my brows question at him.

"You're breathing very hard" He told me and I just now noticed how heavy I'm breathing. I tried to calm my nervous down and breathing slower, but Aiden kneeled down and picked me up bridal style. I let out a little squeal but quickly wrapping my arms his neck.

"Okay, let's find a bench so you can rest" He kissed my forehead and walked slowly. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes to breath in his scent. It smelt masculine and intimated but also a sweetness beside that.

Aiden placed me on a bench and sit beside me with his arm wrapped around my shoulder pulling me closer to him. I let my head fall on his shoulder while staring at the blue sky with warm sunshine. The snow are slowly melted, every creatures are started to wake up. Nature is changing from the cold of winter to the cozy warm of spring, and to me it's beautiful.

"How are you feeling, angel?" Aiden asked me with a kiss on my head. I snuggled closer to him to feel his warm, "A little bit cold and thirsty"

Aiden stood up and took off his scarf, wrapping it around my neck. I smiled when i caught his loving and caring gaze he gave me. He leaned down I kissed my lips while cupping my cheek with gentle.

"Wait here, I'll buy you some drink" He whispered softly and I nodded with a smile. As soon as he left, I slowly turn my head to the left and smile at him, "Hey Mike"

"So... How are you?" He asked after a long silence between us.

"I'm okay, thanks for asking" I looked at him but he avoided my gaze and looking to the ground. He looked so different, he had shaved his beard and his hair. There are sleeping pad under his eyes. His cheerful smile wasn't on his on his face like the first time we met. Guess he doesn't want any of us to recognize him.

"Um... I just want to say sorry" He said and I looked up to the sky with the cloud floating peacefully, like myself now. Honestly, the moment I knew he's the one who behind all of those things, I did got mad at him but Vince told me the story about him and Aiden which made me felt sorry him instead. He just got lost.

"I know I had done so many horrible things to you and Aiden. I feel really regret now and I'm not hoping that you will forgive me. I just want to say sorry...to both of you" He continued and i could see some tear in his eyes, "It just... I felt so jealous with you. You make Aiden happy which I never did. And I could tell from his smile that he's truly happy to be with you"

"I forgive you" I said and he snapped at me with wide eyes. I smiled and shrugged my shoulder and Mike just chuckled, "You know sometimes you are too kind"

"That's how I am" I laughed out loud and Mike did too. He took my hand and placed something in, "I found it. I know it must be very important to you"

I looked down in my hand and gasped. It was my bracelet Aiden gave me. I quickly put the bracelet on and caressing it with a smile on my lips.

"Jessie!" Aiden called me and I turned right to see him running at me. I turned my left and Mike was already at a far distant from me, walking away calmly.

"Here, your water" Aiden opened the bottle for me and I took a sip before turned my attention to Mike. "Who was you talking to?" He asked.

I smiled when Mike looked over his shoulder with a cheerful smile on his face. "Just an old friend" I replied.

"Hm...okay. Hop on!" Aiden said in excited and turned his back to me, kneeling down. I just kept looking at him like he's a weirdo. He raised a brow funnily and I asked while giggling, "Why?"

"I want to show you something. But the doctor said you must rest when you not feeling good so hop on, I'll carry you there" He said with a hurry voice and I just hopped on his back like he said. I wrapped my arms around his back and giggling when he started to spinning around. After some spinning like some crazy guys, Aiden whistled to call Shadow back and a good boy he is, he immediately went back to us.

"Wanna race, boy?" Aiden asked Shadow and he barked and run around our feet. I laughed and it changed to a scream when Aiden suddenly running without telling me to prepare.

"Slow down" I hugged him tightly and he just chuckled and popped a "nope" then he even started to run faster.

"You like it?" Aiden asked and i nodding while looking at the beautiful sunset. The sky is a mix of red, orange and yellow like a painting. The glowing sun slowly dipped itself to the deep sea. I just want to stare at the scene, waiting the hungry sea to swallow the glowing red sun completely.

"Thanks for taking me here" I whispered to Aiden and kissed his cheek. He just chuckled and continued to walk along the beach.

After a long walk, Aiden put me down on my feet and turned to me. A smile tugged on his lips as he looked at me with all his love and caring. He took both of mine into his and pulling us close together. I blushed a deep red when he kept starring but I didn't want to look away from those sweet dark chocolate eyes. The sun wasn't helping me at all when it shined his face making he looked so handsome and sexy than ever.

"Jessie..." He broke the silence with a deep husky voice, it made me just want to melt right there. "Yes?" I asked him with a soft smile and blushing cheeks.

"I'm suck at talking so I just jump to main things. Jessie, you're my reason I live for, the person I want to take care and protect with all my life, the angle help me to feel alive, the one I love with all my heart" Aiden stated and got down in one knee, taking out a black box and opened it , "Will you be my husband?"

I gasped at the beautiful diamond ring. Tears started to burst out of my eyes with all the emotion hit me.

"Yes! Of course" I answered with a cracking weakly voice. God, I'm so overwhelmed by my emotion right now.

Aiden smiled happy and put the ring on my finger before I jumped and hugging him. We fell on the ground but i don't care, I just want to hug this man forever, telling him how much I love him.

I pulled out from the embrace and mashed my lips to his. I let him lead our lips as our tongues caressing each other. I cupped his face and tilted my head slightly to kiss him more. He wrapped his arms around my waist tightly, like he'll never letting go.

We kissed for who know how long but when I pulled out, our lips were swollen and we're panting. I smiled and rested my forehead against his while caressing his face.

"I love you, Aiden" I whispered softly.

"I love you too, Jessie" He said in his husky voice before we fell into another a kiss.
