Chapter 8: The Kiss Aftermath

 

 So I think I want to start doing Author's notes at the ends and beginnings.. I can't think of anything right now so yeah..

Ross's P.O.V.

I asked Avalon to dance, and she argues with me but she agrees. We are dancing in the sprinklers and I look into her brown eyes. I swear this girl's eyes could hypnotize you. I start to lean in, knowing what I want to do.

"Just tell me no when you want me to stop" I tell her.

She says nothing which makes me happy. I lean in, our faces are inches apart, and I can feel her minty warm breath. Before I know it, our lips are brushing. We're kissing, and I feel like we're the only two people on earth. I feel a spark between our lips and I swear fireworks are going off. I've only known her for two  days and I already know she's the one.

Avalon's P.O.V.

Holy fudge cakes. Oh my lord. This isn't happening. But it is... We pull away and just stare into each other's eyes for a long time. At least it felt long.. In reality it was only like 30 seconds but  a long time sounds more romantic.

"Umm am I interrupting something?"

Oh Crab.... Is that who I think it is. I turn around to find Damian staring at me. Then I realize Ross and I are still in our dancing positions. I instantly put my arms in my pockets.

"No we were just washing off some paint" Ross tells him casually

Like seriously, he's acting like nothing happened. Or did I just imagine that whole thing. No I'm pretty sure it was real. There's an awkward silence between the three of us and I start to wonder why Damian is here. I also wonder why Ross hasn't left yet.

"So umm why are you here?" I ask Damian.

"Umm just thought we could hang out and play some video games..."

"Umm I guess I'll be leaving" Ross starts to walk inside

"Wait, Let me get you a towel and some dry clothes"

He looks about the same size as Austin so I decide to let him borrow some of his clothes. I walk into the downstairs bathroom and get some towels, then I go upstairs and sneak some clothes for Ross, then head back out and hand the clothes and towel to Ross. He takes off his shirt and I swear I'm gonna melt. Like seriously, I've seen so many guys shirtless but this guy is gonna make me melt one day.

"So I'll be waiting in Austin's room, just come get me when you're done." And with that Damian walks inside.

Damian's P.O.V

I was sitting in my room just doing nothing, so I decided to call Avalon and see if she wanted to play some video games. I call her 5 times and she doesn't pick up. I decide to call Kori considering she's always with Avalon. She picks up after 3 rings.

"Hello"

"Yo Kori, is Avalon with you?"

"No she's at her house why?"

"I keep calling her but she won't pick up"

"Oh she's busy"

"Doing what?"

"Well we started to paint her room this morning but right now she's probably finishing it up with Ross"

I choked on my own spit.

"Woah Damian you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine"

I can't believe she's with him. I mean they just barely met and now they're acting like they've known each other for their whole lives. I'm the one she's known her whole life, not him. I'm the one who should be helping her paint her room. Woah... Do I sound jealous.

Nah, I'm just being her big brother. I think I need to go check on her though. For all we know this Ross kid could be a rapist (inside joke me and my BFF have!!) I leave my house immediately. Avalon's house isn't very far from mine, only like a 5 minute walk.

I walk up to the front door but don't bother to ring the doorbell because I have a key. That's literally how close Avalon and I are. I mean not even Zoey has a house key. I walk in and go up the stairs to Avalon's room. The first thing I think of is wow. Her room looks awesome. There seems to be no one in there so I walk to Austin's room which is right next door. I knock and Austin opens the door.

"Yo what's up Damian"

"Nothing just looking for your sister"

"She's in the back with her friends come and look"

We walk to one of his windows which has a perfect view of their backyard. I see Avalon and Ross dancing in the sprinklers. Avalon looks like she's having fun. I'm surprised to see this because the only dancing I've ever seen her do is her victory dance. She doesn't like to dance. I know this because I have tried to get her to dance with me at school dances but she refuses.

For some reason seeing her have so much fun dancing with this guy makes me angry. All of a sudden I see them lean in. Oh no. I have to stop this. Avalon just met this guy and he might be her first kiss? No way. I run down the stairs and into the yard. I find Avalon and Ross staring into each others eyes and I can't help but wonder if they kissed.

"Umm am I interrupting something?" I ask...

Avalon looks at me and then quickly shoves her hands into her pockets.

"No we were just washing off some paint" Ross tells me casually. Does that mean nothing happened?

Or does this kid just go around kissing girls, then pretends nothing happened. Either way he better not hurt Avalon.

"So umm why are you here?" I hear Avalon ask me.

"Umm just thought we could hang out and play some video games..."

"Umm I guess I'll be leaving" Ross starts to walk inside

"Wait, Let me get you a towel and some dry clothes" I see Avalon go inside and then she comes back with a towel and some clothes for Ross.

Then, Ross takes off his shirt, and I swear this guy is doing it on purpose. I see Avalon staring at him and can't help but feel jealous. She never looks at any of us that way, and trust me she's had enough chances to stare at us shirtless.

"So I'll be waiting in Austin's room, just come get me when you're done." And with that I walk inside.

I have no clue what else to do, so this chapter is short... This is I guess a filler chapter since I kinda have writers block... If there is any mistakes, I'm sorry I lost my editor and I'll try to edit it later...
