Life with the Ryan Boys

Chapter 5

As I stepped out of the car I got quite a few stares. Channing came around to my side of the car.

  "Don't worry about all the stares. You're a new face and we don't get many new kids. Mine, Eion's, and Caleb's phone numbers are in your phone. If you need us just text us. We'll see you at lunch," Channing said walking with me to the front doors.

    "To be honest with you I'm a little nervous to be here," I told Channing as we walked toward the office.

Channing put his arm around my shoulder, "There is nothing to be worried about. This school is like any other."

  "So it has queen bee snobs?" I asked. Those where the people I was most scared about. Make them mad, and you're screwed.

   "Yeah. We have two of those. One of them is Eion's girlfriend," He siad as I stood in front of the receptionist in the ofiice.

   "Hi. Im Payton Reeves, I'm new and I need my schedule," I told the lady polietely.

"No problem, Ms.Reeves. I already have your stuff printed out right here. There you go deary, have a great day," The lady told me.

  As Channing and I walked out of the office I smiled, "She was really nice."

   "That's Mrs.Lander. She's been here since Mom and Dad were in school," Channing said walking with me to my locker.

  When we stopped there several guys shouted his name and walked over to us.

"Hey Chan. Who's this pretty thing?" One of the guys asked and I blushed a little.

     "Toby, this is Payton. She's the girl I was telling you about that was gonna live with us," Channing said.

   "Well hello there Payton, I'm Ryan.  Chan, you're going to have to throw one amazing party now that she's here. The boys will love her," Ryan said smiling at me.

    "Ryan, she's practically family now. If any of the boys touch her, including you, you will be losing some man parts," Channing siad smirking at Ryan.

      I laughed a little, "I think I can handle a couple of guys Channing. Especially ones with no balls."

"Ooooo," Toby siad looking at Ryan.

   "Dude she was talking about you too," Ryan said .

 Channing smiled and then turned to me, "I'll let you get to class. Remember what I told you. And I'll see you at lunch." He gave me a side hug then walked off with his friends.

  While putting some stuff in my locker I remembered what Channing said. Eion had a girlfriend...and she just so happened to be one of the queen bees. Well that sucked. I shut my locker and looked at the schedule and the map Mrs. Lander gave me. First class of the day, Biology.

   I walked in the classroom and all talking among people stopped. The teacher looked up from his desk and smiled at me.

   "You must be Payton. I'm Mr. Greene you're biology teacher. Please take a seat anywhere you like," He told me going back to the work on his desk.

  I looked around the room and although some people had stopped staring, there were some who didn't get the idea. I saw that everyone already had someone at their desk except for one person: Caleb. I walked back toward him  and he looked up and smiled.

    "Hey Payton," Caleb said moving his stuff over for me to sit.

"Hey. Glad to know I have this class with someone," I told him.

     "Okay, we're doing an experiment today. So when I hand out your materials, look in the book I gave you on your desk for instructions," Mr. Greene said going around the room handing us our stuff.
