Chapter 18 In the end

You stood in the nursery taking everything in. Rubbing your swollen stomach you walk a circle around the crib. In less than 24 hours you were going to give birth, to an angel... literally. Addison Dean had been putting a lot more pressure on your pelvic area, a clear sign he was ready. It wasn't an easy journey. There was ups, downs, and heartbreak. But it was finally here. At any moment you could pop.

"you ready to go momma?" dean stood In the doorway with the hospital bag in hand.

"yeah."

"good, sammy's in the car waiting. Come on"

You smiled "let's go have us a baby!"

Castiel stood in the hallway. He gave dean a small nod. They were signaling each other about something you didn't know. Cas took your hand and helped you up the stairs, dean right behind you. Once at the top he hugged then kissed your forehead. "you've come so far from the day that I met. You're just as beautiful as ever."

"Thank You cas."

He smiled. "of course... now go I'll meet everyone there."

"Wait! Addison Dean, he doesn't have a middle name!"

"Sam. Sam should be the one to choose. Not me." Cas said.

Dean put his hand on your lower back and helped you to the car. Like he said sam was there waiting. He sat in the back letting you have the front. You leaned over the seat, and he leaned forward kissing you. He was nervous, very nervous. If what dean and cas said was true about the baby then he was in for a long shot. Sam was going to be the best dad he could possibly be. Addison dean need a father, and you needed a husband.

Sam held your hand all the way to the hospital. Not letting go, scared he'd lose you again and forever. He was going to honor his vows, and honor them right. After his talk with dean he had finally realized that he was the one in the wrong. You were a young, scared and reckless. For someone who was 22 you had gone through so much. Yet at the end of the day you still wanted to be with an old, used, broken man like him. The day sam got you back was the greatest day of his life aside from today. He was terrified that you'd leave him that time completely rejecting his love for you, but you didn't.

You looked over your shoulder to the back seat. "you know Addison Dean doesn't have a middle name... if you wanna do the honor of picking one?"

"yeah, I'd like that." he gave you a side smile.

You pecked his hand. "any name you want. No matter what it is."

"John."

"John? Are you sure? Even though he's not a Winchester?" You looked at sam then at dean.

Dean smiled yes still on the road. "momma it's perfectly fine. Trust me."

"Addison Dean, John, Novak."

Sam and dean exchanged glances in the rearview mirror.

You were always left out of silent conversations.

The moment you and everyone were waiting for was finally here. Everything was in place at the hospital. Crowley made sure it was demons he could trust to do the job. There was some standing outside and in the hospital staff involved with your birth. Castiel, and dean were the last ones who need to be in place. They both wanted to see you one more time before you went into labor.

Dean stood where sam was going to stand.
"I can't believe this is actually happening."

"you and me both."

He stroked the top of your head. "don't die on me ya' hear?"

"I'm not going anywhere." you smiled.
