Your best friend, Holland, and your worst enemy, Dylan, (who were both friends, sadly) invited you over to watch movies. Seeing as you had nothing to do, you went along with it. Dylan had never been a friend of yours. As sweet as he was to others, he was always astoundingly rude to you.
Mustering up what little courage you had, you drove to Dylan's place where the three of you would meet.
Walking in, hugging Holland, and trying your best to be nice to Dylan was an adventure in itself.
About 30 minutes into the first movie Holland had to leave. After that, it was a downhill battle.
Trying to be polite, you said "Dylan, I think since Holland's gone, I'll be on my way."
"Yeah sure, whatever" Dylan said rolling his eyes and plopping down on the sofa.
You could have just left, but instead you fell for the bait.
"Why are you always so hateful?!" You raised your voice at Dylan, trying to be serious.
He stood up from his place on the sofa and sighed "why do you always have to be so bitchy?" He added.
"Oh my God! I've never been anything but nice to you!" You yelled.
"That is such a lie." He yelled back.
"No it isn't! You're always such a dick! You always ignore me, or treat me like I'm nothing!" You said, on the verge of tears. Before you became enemies, you had a crush on Dylan, and it crushes you to see him ignore everything you do.
Here come the tears. You thought, feeling one slide down your cheek.
"No no no no no no no." Dylan said, speaking surprisingly softly.
"Dylan," you sobbed, as he took you into his arms, "all I wanted was for you to like me."
"Hey, shh. It's okay." He took your face into his hands, and you felt his heart beat quicken under your touch.
"Haven't you ever heard the saying 'if a boy is mean to you it means he likes you'?" He said, looking into your eyes.
"Dylan, I-" you stammered, luckily, you recovered from the embarrassing moment by kissing him softly.
