The kid had looked over at him after a minute and introduced himself as Josh. He looked nice, but Pete wondered why he was here. He didn't try to punch him so not anger, but he had bright red dyed hair so maybe he was rebellious? He said hi back and Josh started whispering to him about everyone on here. He too played the game of "why are they going to boarding school?"
He gave his ideas of everyone on the bus he could analyze and Pete did the same. They agreed on some but not all, they decided that since they were friends now they would figure it out after they got there, when the kids could be more of themselves. Some of the kids they didn't have a reason for though, like the silent kid in the back, a kid with short hair in the front who had weird writing all over his hands, some ginger kid, and the kid in the very first seat with big hair.

Pete found out that Josh wasn't a serial killer or anything, he was just here because he always wanted to be a musician. His parents thought he would grow out of it, but they wanted him to live a normal picket-fence life without "the chance of going bankrupt or not making it" Pete thought that was stupid. They just sent him to make him normal. He thought Josh's parents were stupid for wanting him to be perfect and boring. The other reason is they didn't think his girlfriend was a good influence. Josh pulled out his phone and showed Pete pictures of the girl, she seemed cool. Her hair was blue and shorter, but she was cute. She seemed like Josh's type, and the way he talked about her they seemed to get along well. Pete of course had to tell Josh why he was there in return, and just told him he never listened, partied too much, and banged a lot of girls. He hadn't seen why everyone liked girls so much. They were cute and all but, he just kinda did what his friends did. He just seemed to think that's how everyone felt about girls. But Josh here seemed to think about them, or Halsey, if he said it right. But he just told himself that's because Josh was in love, and Pete had never been in love before.
