I'm sorry I told u it would take forever I'm listening to 3oh3 currently

Ooh I think I'm gonna have like 2-3 more chapters until part one is done then I'll start the sequel in August? Unless u guys don't want that but no one has let me know otherwise so I guess that's chill.

(In the books it's Friday right? I really hope I'm right?)

Mikey's pov

Mikey actually had to be dragged out of bed by Brendon today instead of vice versa as normally. He really didn't want to go to school or detention and he just felt shitty in general. Brendon brought him to class to make sure he didn't skip, even though that wasn't very much Mikey way's style, he just wanted to make sure. He gave Mikey a sympathetic look before going to his class. Mikey walked in and was handed a slip to 'remind him' of his detention that day, he sat down and only looked up to see Pete being handed a similar slip and remembered he would, of course, be sharing it with shitlord of the year. He managed to live through class to lunch and sat with the gay squad, who all acted like Mikey was glass and tried to cheer him up at the same time. Brendon had laughed so hard at a joke Frank made he spat food all over Ryan, and it seemed to be a reoccurring theme that Brendon couldn't contain food in his mouth.

He made it to detention and sat in the very back corner, looking at the vandalism on the desk and the pattern of the floor, really anything except for the front where Pete would show any minute. After about fifteen minutes in and halfway through the teacher had left because it seemed, at this point, that rules didn't apply to teacher if they were at a private school, or if they just gave no fucks at all.

Mikey felt a lean at the other end of his desk and deridingly looked up to see the only other person there. He began to speak but before he could Pete clamped his hand over Mikey's mouth, "just let me explain," he began and paused to take a deep breath. "I don't hate you and I'm sorry, Mikey, my friends are just assholes and I don't wanna hurt you in any way. I'm sorry I ever did anything that would hurt you, and I can't control them but I was being a coward, because if I didn't act like I hated you then they would have made fun of me and called me all the same they call you, I'm not as strong as that and I can't handle it and I'm sorry. I had to get detention because I'm a bitch and I don't want them to know I'm talking to you, and we still can't be friends but I just wanted to let you know if it weren't for them I would be your friend, and I'll try to get them off of you but I can't promise anything, if they make me hurt you I'll be as careful and I can because I don't want to hurt you Mikes, I never did, and I know you'll never forgive me but I wish you could." He didn't move, staring into Mikey's eyes waiting, maybe pleading for him to forgive Pete, but he just stared back wide eyed. Then Pete did something he never expected himself to do, and Mikey sure as hell didn't expect it from Pete of everyone. But he grabbed Mikey's face on both sides of his cheeks and pulled him into a kiss, it was rough and needy and scared. Then he let go and searched Mikey's eyes a second more for something before they heard a creak as the door opened. Pete managed to sit down before the teacher looked up and told them to leave and that detention was over. Pete quickly exited and threw a worried look back at Mikey, as to say sorry and that he could never mention it to anyone, maybe never even to Pete. Mikey then got up looking like he saw a ghost and stuttered his walk as he left to go to his room.
