**Third Person Narrative**

While in their baby blue Volkswagen bus, Luca announced that he had some big news for Lena. Lena was surprised, for she, too, had some big news for Luca. They waited till they arrived at their cozy little abode to share their announcements. Luca had warned Lena that his news was going to be surprising and shocking, nonetheless.

In their home, they plopped down on the couch. Lena made a mental note that she'd have to be careful now. She is with child, now.

Luca decided to go first. He took Lena's hands in his and began.

"Lena, I'm beyond sorry that I have to tell you this, but I know that if you had heard it from anyone else, you'd despise me."  Lena reassured him that she could never despise him. Luca continued.

"Well, I'm just gonna be straight with you and tell you, sweetheart, that I'm a drug addict. I messed up, Lee. I got into some really bad stuff, but believe me when I say I'm going to get clean. Just yesterday, I talked to a really good doctor and they're gonna set me up at a nice rehabilitation center. I'm entering tomorrow."

Lena was definitely shocked and speechless. It was all still processing in her mind. But she supported Luca and commended him on going to rehab.

"So, what's your news, baby?" Luca gave an expectant look to Lena.

"Well, uh," She started nervously. Uncertain of how he would respond to the news of her being pregnant.

"I'm, uh, recording a new album! Yeah, it's going to have a nice psychedelic theme to it."

Lying to Luca wasn't planned but Lena thought the time wasn't right. But when would be the right time? She didn't want him to have to worry about anything but himself as he was on the road to recovery. Maybe after his tenure in rehab is up?  Surprise him by showing up with a larger than usual belly? All these thoughts coursed through Lena's brain.

She was stuck, essentially.

The next day came and went just as fast as you can say "Hello."

It was nighttime now. Lena had just gotten back home from dinner. She ate alone at a diner after an emotional parting from Luca, who would be gone for thirty whole days. Lena can take care of herself alright, but being alone is what's really going to get at her.

sorry for the wait, kinda got away from this story for a while. I'll try to make the next one longer.
