Right as Luca began to question Lena and what he saw in that magazine, the doctor had came in to tell Lena what happened with her. The doctor had told Lena that she had a disease called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which caused her not only pain, but the loss of her baby.
Lena was wrecked, as soon as the doctor said she had lost her baby, she broke out into tears. Luca was shocked to have learned that he was going to be a father in such a way. He couldn't believe that Lena had kept her pregnancy away from him, so he just excused himself from the room, taking his suitcase with him. That caused Lena to cry more. The doctor walked around Lena's bed and comforted her. She told Lena that she was sorry for her loss, and that she'll have medication to help control her disease, which made Lena feel only a tad bit better. The doctor left Lena so she could get some sleep and ease her mind possibly.

Two days later
------------
When Lena left the hospital, she found herself alone in the home she had once shared with Luca. His belongings that once brought life to the small home were now like him. Gone. Lena sighed sadly. Why did Luca think that this was an okay thing to do? After all they'd been through together, this being one of the toughest moments for the both of them. She went into her bedroom and plopped down onto the bed.
Luca went down to Flagstaff and sold some of his things in the heat of the moment, and used his earnings to buy a motorcycle. He felt as though he needed to get away from things and start fresh. He was clean off drugs and really felt like being in the city where he bought so many of them would be detrimental to all the progress he made in rehab.
He bought a motorcycle helmet, put that on and rode off into the sunset...Literally.
Luca had no desired location, so he just decided to ride his bike around the country.
He felt bad for how he handled things with Lena, after receiving the news that their unborn baby died. But he didn't want to go back and make up with Lena because he just felt that he needed to be out there on the road.
All alone with nothing but his thoughts accompanying him.
