Chapter 10

"Where'd Kai go?" I asked her. "He l-le-left m-me." She said in between uneven breaths. Sehun's eyes widened as big as Oreos. "In a place like that?! That's so heartless of him!" Sehun raged. It dawned on me on how scared she must've felt. And I wasn't there to protect her. I pulled her into a hug. I will from now on.

SuJin's POV

This haunted house made me laugh. First of all, the music was so cheesy, the effects were horrible and predictable, and the animations and figures were horribly made. I grew up with horrors movies. This was a piece of cake. Thankfully, Lay seemed pretty calm too. We pretty much just talked all along the way, pointing out the lame effects here and there.

"I've noticed you bring your camera wherever you go." Lay pointed out. He usually didn't talk when it came to a whole big group of people but, he was open with me.

"Uh yeah. I like photography. That's actually what I majored in, in college." I answered.

"That's cool!" He complimented.

"Thanks." I smiled. Usually, people would say 'You'll never make a career out of photos. You should major in something better like law.' But, instead Lay complimented. I enjoyed this special time I had with him.

MinJi's POV

I was still shaking from my encounter with the haunted house. Every time I closed my eyes, that vampire and the girl's neck that was hanging appeared in my head. I shuddered trying to get the thought out of my head. I was safe. I was watching a pretty sunset with Luhan and Sehun. No more scary things. I evened out my breathing while Sehun and Luhan just watched me silently. And awkwardly, I might add. Once I assured them I was okay, they started talking.

"Noona, you don't look to well. You should rest." Sehun said, noticing my pale face.

"Do you want to leave and go back to the dorm?" Luhan asked me. I nodded my head, all the fun and happiness turned sour and sad in a matter of minutes.

"Sehun, go find Suho and tell him that MinJi and I are leaving to go back to the dorm." Luhan ordered.

"What about me? I wanna come and help noona!" Sehun complained.

"Aniyo. Sehun you need to tell someone we're leaving. We can't call them. Hand phones aren't allowed to be on during places like haunted houses." Luhan objected.

Sehun grumbled "Araseo." Then he seemed to start thinking about something. "Hyung, how are you gonna get there? D.O. and Kris hyung have the keys to the vans." Sehun pointed out.

"We'll just take a cab." Luhan answered.

"B-but that's going to be expensive." I finally spoke. Luhan smiled at me.

"It's okay." That smile instantly cleared away all my worries. I felt like I was perfectly safe and I didn't have to worry about anything at all. It made me feel like everything was and is going to be alright.

After a few more grumbles from Sehun, he finally left and waited near the haunted house to tell Suho that we were leaving. Once he left, Luhan looked back at me. "Kaja." He held out his hand and I placed mine in his. We walked toward the sunset (where the exit was, was where the sun was setting) hand in hand.
