It's Christmas

Hey guys :) So I know this is going to be posted the day after Christmas, but it doesn't really matter... I hope everyone had a good Christmas! And another thing is I just got a new phone so the updates might come a little slower but I promise they will come! Enjoy ;)

CHAPTER SIX : IT'S CHRISTMAS

ANNABETH'S POV

It was finally Christmas Eve and Percy and I were sitting on the beach, looking at the beautiful stars. We've waited this whole year for Christmas to come and now it was only a night away.

"Are you excited for tomorrow?" Percy asked.

"Who wouldn't be? It's Christmas!"

I think you're gonna love what I got you," he began saying. "Did you get me something yet?" He elbowed my side slightly, making me fall over.

"Of course I did. I couldn't have a good Christmas without getting my boyfriend something." I told him and he smirked.

Later that evening, all the campers, including us, gathered in the pavilion for a short Christmas Eve party. It wasn't anything big an all but it was pretty fun. Chiron had set up a buffet table to where we could all have a good dinner. And of course, we offered some to the gods.

"Having fun?" I asked Percy as he was talking and eating with Jason and Frank.

"Yeah. This food is so good! Chiron did a really good job." Jason said.

"Yup. Real good. Well, I'm gonna go see what Piper and Hazel are doing. You guys have fun." As I walked away, I heard Jason mumble to Frank and Percy, "dang, you're really lucky to have a girl like Annabeth." I smiled a little at those words and then ran to find my friends.

~Time Skip~

It was after the party and Percy and I went to his cabin so we could finish wrapping our presents that we had gotten for our friends. We decided that the gifts we got them suited their personalities very well.

Right when Percy was finished wrapping, I had got done to. "Perfect timing." He said and laughed a little. I had begun to daydream a little about mine and Percy's future and hadn't realized it until Percy yelled right into my ear.

"ANNABETH!" He screamed. I snapped out of my trance and tried to cover up what I had been doing. "Why don't you go back to your cabin and get some sleep. I'll walk you there." He offered.

Percy helped me up from the floor and held my hands all the way to the Athena cabin. "Good night." I said the same thing and went to get some sleep.

I woke up to my whole cabin standing above me, watching me sleep. "Get up! It's Christmas!" They yelled and urged me to get out for bed. I threw some clothes on and ran my first gets through my hair, and then went down to the pavilion with the rest of my cabin.

"Merry Christmas, Wise Girl." I heard Percy say to me. I turned around and there he was.

"Merry Christmas," I said back to him.

"Alright, alright everyone, settle down." Chiron was standing on top of one of the dining tables, waving his hands to get our attention. "I know it's Christmas, but we still need to calm down. And now, you may give and receive your presents."

Everyone began to give out their presents to other campers so we decided to so the same. I gave all my friends their gifts and they gave me theirs. (Don't you always love watching people open the presents you got them? Am I the only one?)

Hazel had got me a architecture book with a bunch of little crafts and things that I could try and make. Piper had got me a infinity scarf that was my favorite color. Leo and Frank got me some fuzzy socks which they new that I loved, especially when it was cold outside.

After I was done giving and receiving Christmas gifts, we had a big breakfast for out gift from Chiron. There were waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits, and for Percy, blue waffles.

After we were done eating, Percy and I walked down to the beach because he said there was a Christmas surprise for me there. He also made me cover my eyes so I couldn't see anything.

"Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded my head and he uncovered his hands from my eyes. What I saw, was the most beautiful picnic I had ever seen in my life. Percy had decorated a little spot on the beach with a blanket and a basket full of fruit, which he new I loved.

"Percy," I began, not knowing what to say. "I love it. It's by far, the best Christmas present I've gotten so far.

He told me to sit down on the picnic blanket with him. I grabbed and apple from the basket and began to eat it. Percy grabbed a pear.

"Annabeth, I have to ask you something." Percy said. He took my hand and pulled me up with him. Still eating my apple, I asked, "Percy, what's going on?"

He began to reach into his back pocket and pull out a tiny blue box with sliver words on it that I couldn't make out.

"Annabeth, for all these times that we've been through, I just wanted to let you know that I've always loved you. No matter what happens to either me or you, I will always be there for you." At this point, I could feel my eyes tearing up from the little speech Percy just gave me.

Then, something I didn't expect to happen, happened. Percy knelt down onto one knee and opened the little box. Inside, was a ring. An engagement ring.

"Annabeth Chase, will you so the honor of being my wife?"

Ok, now I was practically crying. I never thought this day would come, but it did. I was gonna be a wife. We were gonna have a family. And I wasn't gonna have to imagine it anymore.

"Yes."

Well, what did you guys think? I can tell you one thing. This is by far, my favorite one-shot that I've written. Curse Rick Riordan for not making this happen in the books. And I almost started crying while writing this one:) Hope you all liked it! And I know this was published after Christmas, but who cares! It's still Christmas for me ;) Ok bye now
