Lilac walked quickly down the street, the only sound was her shoes against the pavement.

She lived in the 'rough' part of town with her dad and brother, her mother left years ago, she always thought she'd come back but she's still waiting. There was no reason for her leaving, she just woke up one morning to her mum gone and her dad at the kitchen table staring blankly at a piece of paper. She'd  wondered what had been written on that rough white paper but she never knew. Over the years she had developed a growing hatred toward the woman who gave birth to her.

Coming into the middle of town, she walked briskly to her destination. The trip usually a 10 minute walk, only taking her 5 minutes. She was in a hurry, whoever this 'he' was, she was determined to see as soon as possible.

Taking a left down an alley way, and then continuing up a hill. She stopped in front of an old rundown building. The hills. With a deep breath, she pushed down on the door handle, swinging it open and taking a step inside, closing the door behind her.

The interior was dark but modern. The walls were a dark purple with black furniture and a few plants littered around. The curtains were hardly ever open so the only source of light being the fairy lights, lilac herself had brought and put up so the place had a nice feeling to it.

It was quite a large place, almost a mansion, with 3 floors, 4 if you include the basement, 6 large bedrooms, all used for different purposes, and 3 bathrooms. The back garden was the woods which lilac loved to go in and explore.

Lilac was a wanderer, she was always curious about things and very spontaneous.

The place belonged to one of her friends, Jake. He'd gotten it in a will from when his mother and father had died. Along with a load of money.

"Lilac, is that you?" A loud female voice sounded from the room to her left. She recognised it to be Brooke.

"Yeah it's me," lilac called back in a soft but rough voice. She felt like she was glued to the ground, she couldn't, or rather didn't want to move. But she wanted to see him, hear him, it'd been so long since they'd last seen each other. She was scared. Scared of what he thought of her. She wondered if he'd changed at all. After all she hadn't seen him in 2 years, why did he just show up all of a sudden? She wanted answers. And that was enough motivation to move her feet into the room next to her.

Her eyes swept the room. Connecting with his, and his with hers. She couldn't look away from his captivating, forest green eyes. Nor could he from her ocean blue ones.

Say something idiot! Her mind was telling her.

"Hi,"she said in her soft voice.

Wow that's a great thing to say! She sarcastically said in her head.

But he smiled with his perfect teeth,"hey."

Oh god.

River stood frozen. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was shocked but that then turned into anger.

He looked at Noah with a scowl on his face,"what is he doing back here?" He said in a hard voice.

"I don't know, Jack told me." Noah looked up at river and saw he was getting angry. " hey, don't get your nick nicks in a twist now. He probably Won't do anything."

"Probably? You never know with him."

"I know, but, come on. He just got back! I doubt he'd do anything." Noah was always a joker, he hardly ever took things too seriously, so when he did you knew he meant it. Noah was all kinds of attractive, he had tan skin, light-ish brown, curly hair and beautiful light green and ocean blue eyes. It's was like a swirl and you couldn't help but stare at them, they were so captivating.

"But why now? Why did he just turn up all of a sudden?" River wanted to know.

"I have no idea, so, how bout we sit here and watch a movie and have a beer before you decide to piss yourself, because well your cleaning it up."
