"Well, we're all gonna leave you two to, ya know, mingle," Brooke winked at lilac, who rolled her eyes in response while pushing all of the people out the room.
The door closed and the room was silent. Lilac found herself avoiding his eyes but she knew they were staring right at her.
Her eyes finally met his. He stood and she ran into his arms as if this was the last hug they'd ever have. They held onto each other like they never wanted to let go. Truth be told, they didn't.
"What are you doing here?" Lilac asked in a soft voice, her head leaning on his shoulder.
"What? Are you not happy to see me?" He said in a jokingly voice.
"No of course I am!" Lilac pulled her head from his shoulder and looked into his eyes with a small smile gracing her lips. "It's just, you've been gone for two years and you've just suddenly shown up out of nowhere."
"Lots of stuff happened. It's a long story."
"I have time, Kane." lilac said softly.
"No you don't, because we, all of us, are going out for the day to celebrate me being back." Kane informed her with a smile, showing his teeth that were slightly crooked.
"Okay then." Lilac said with a laugh.

The phone rang whilst river and Noah were watching some crime tv show on the wide television screen.
As the phone kept ringing with it's annoying tone, Noah turned to river with his eyebrows raised, "you gonna get that?"
"Nope," river said and took a quick gulp of his beer, lifting it to his lips and then letting it fall to his lap again.
With a sigh Noah got up and quickly picked up the telephone silencing it's annoying cry. "Hello?"
"Yeah it's Noah."
"mmh, yeah."
"Ok we'll be there."
Noah put the phone down in its slot swiftly and grabbed his phone from the sofa, "cmon frying pan, lets go."
"Where?" River looked over with curiosity.
"Casey's house."
"Why?" River wanted to know.
"The guys wanna meet." Noah said in an emotionless voice.
River quickly glanced at him and took a last chug of his beer, before setting it in the table half full, grabbing his keys and phone, he stood up and walked to the door with Noah following him.
