*If yall can read it and comment and see what needs improving. I'm writing more but I just wanted to upload this for now :) Thanks.*

I can't remember everything but I'll tell you what I know.

The rush of footsteps in the distance, crunching on the fallen leaves. It was playing a game with us. A game that I didn't enjoy. The forest was dark and crowded with trees. I remember. There was 5 of us; Sarah, Mikey, DeAndre, Taylor and Me. The Rebellions - people would call us. The ones that would go against the commands of teachers and make their lives a living hell. The ones that always brought enlightenment and fun to the classroom. Those ones.

My heavy breathing sounded loud in the silence.

"Sssh. Stop breathing so loud. It can hear us," whispered DeAndre.

It felt like I stopped breathing all together. i closed my eyes as my best friend held onto me. Her warm embrace caressed my cold arm as she linked hers with mine. Sarah. That was her name. She was fearless. Well she always claimed to be. But not today. Not tonight. She was shaking - muttering to herself, 'It's just a dream.'

I wish it was just a dream but it wasn't. It was reality. I opened my eyes, thinking to myself where was the car parked. The black expedition jeep, that was driven by Mikey, was suppose to be situated only a few yards away. Somewhere in between the trees. Somewhere in the mouth of the darkness.

"We need to get out of here. Now! I'm not waiting any longer!" shouted Sarah.

There was a sudden scream coming from within the trees. A scream of desperation but then it turned into a scream of laughter.

"What the f-."

Taylor didn't have time to finish his sentence because he saw us running. Running for our lives. The high pitched, disturbing laughter echoed in my ear as I gripped Sarah's hand. Running frantically between the trees. Running anywhere from it. But it felt like we were getting nowhere. It seemed to be following us. The unknown creature. The unknown monster. All you can see was its eyes. They weren't or didn't seem whole. No pupils. No white. They looked empty and deceiving.

"C'mon! You need to run quicker!" called Mickey as he was far ahead.

He disappeared into the darkness with every step he took. It seemed like the darkness engulfed and devoured him. Taking each and everyone of us one by one s we began to separate but Sara and me, stayed together. And then we heard it.

"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!"

That scream. That scream of desperation. Again. But it wasn't the unknown. It was...

"TAYLOR!! Oh my god it has Taylor!" exclaimed Sarah. She was beginning to slow down and she was dragging me with her.

"Look Sarah. We have no time to-." I was interrupted by the sound of one sharo crack of a bone. Like a fast, simple movement. The screaming immediately stopped. Something wet and cold was streaming down my face. It didn't come down like a droplet. It felt like a river; I was crying. I looked up at the trees and started to back away.

"Sarah, we need to go. Now!"

We ran again. I no longer saw Mikey's or DeAndre's body outline anymore. I began to panic. I couldn't think. Keys. Car keys. I remember I had them in my pocket because Mikey asked me to hold them for him. He always had a crush on me I was told. But he never had to say it. You can see it in his eyes. Those round hazel eyes always seemed to smile at me. I was growing to like him. His personality. Looks didn't really matter to me but they were a bonus. I don't know what I felt but I felt numb. I was lost in my thoughts. So deep that I was only running wherever my legs took me. Until I tripped over something, banged my head and blacked out.
