Why me (1)

Days past. Weeks went by. Chaise and me seemed to be getting closer and knowing each other better.

I got into Chaise's Range Rover and we drove to his house. Mom was starting to drink again and I needed to get away from it. When she did this, I always escaped to Sarah's until she would calm down but it seems to be getting worse everytime she restarted. I stared outt he window the whole duration because I was in my own little world. I knew Chaise was glancing at me because I saw him in the corner of my eye. I know I've only known him for nearly two months now but it feels like I know him inside and out already.

We pulled up next to a 3 storey house (way bigger than mine) and in the drive way, sat 3 other cars.

Damn, this boy must be rich, I thought to myself.

I jumped out the car and we gradually walked up to the front door.

"My parents aren't going to be home for the weekend so you can always stay over if you want?" he asked while unlocking the door and walking in.

I stayed where I was. My head felt heavy and my vision began to double.

"Audrey? Audreeey," Chaise called as his voice sounded like it was fading away. Last thing I saw was the worried look on his face and him running towards me.

My eyes closed and I was falling. Falling.

                                                                     ----------------------

My eye lids felt heavy as they slowly opened. I was laying down in a large living room. The fire place was burning soundly in the background. I shifted myself on the couch and sat up.

"Hey. You're awake," a voice said from behind me.

I looked behind and Chaise stood leaning against the door post smiling at me.

"Ugh. What happened?" I asked rubbing the back of my head.

"You fainted," he answered as he came and sat next to me. "Here's some water."

He gave me the glass. "Thanks. You have a really nice house."

"Thank you. You wanna go outside? Get some fresh air?"

"Alright."

It felt awkward being in his house. Just the two of us. We sat ont he porch in silence for a few minutes, watching some kids ride on their bicycles.

Chaise:

I looked at her and smilied. She was so beautiful.

She giggled and said,"What?"

"Nothing. I'm just thinking," I answered.

She looked at me. Her eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Her curly light brown hair sat on her shoulders. I liked her.

"What you thinking about?" she asked intriguingly.

"Life," I lied. I was really thinking about her.

She loked away at the kids and said,"Why you thinking about that?"

"Cause. It's just one of those moments when you just think, you know... Audrey, I li-," I was cut off by Chris Brown - body on mine which started playing from inside.

"Hold on," Audrey said as she got up and ran inside for her phone.

I sat there thinking. Thinking when should I tell her. Or should I even tell her who I really am or just keep it to myself. I heard her arguing from inside. She was on the phone to her mom. I felt sorry that she had to go through this. Her mom was successful in business but she let drinking control her life and she lost everything.
