CHAPTER TWO

My alarm rings at exactly 09 30 AM. I've slept for over 12 hours and I definitely feel well rested. I quickly get out of bed and rush downstairs to see if anyone is downstairs. No sign of life here. I get to the kitchen to make some food 'cause my stomach is growling a whole lot. I text Jules telling her to come by at around 11. She quickly texts back saying she's already on her way. I get out all the ingredients for breakfast. I want some pancakes, eggs, bacon, baked beans and all that good stuff. Pancakes are already cooking, I put the bacon in the oven.
Jules doesn’t live that far from here so I'm not shocked when I see her running into the kitchen literally 20 minutes after texting me. She pulls me into a hug and squeezes me real hard and return her embrace.
"Guuuurrllll I missed you so much!!"she screams.
"You literally took all the energy out of me Jules."
"Pfffffttttt..something smells good. What are we cooking?"
Jules always used to drive to my house for breakfast. She was literally my sister. My parents loved her and she called them mum and dad as well.
Jules starts helping me with the food and in no time everything is ready and we're eating away and chatting and she's telling me about her love interests and everything that's going on in her life. Kevin files into the kitchen and grabs a plate to serve himself. He starts talking to Jules and I start playing Candy Crush as I wait for Jules to finish eating. Once she's done I put our plates in the sink and we head upstairs to my room.
She sits on my bed and turns on the TV. I quickly grab my toiletry supplies and head into the bathroom. I take a quick shower and head out the bathroom. Jules gives me a questioning look which I return, she then smiles to herself.
I sit by my vanity to quickly do my hair and makeup. For makeup, I just put on some foundation, some winged eyeliner, some mascara and dark vampy lipstick. I put my blue-black hair in a messy bun 'cause I'm too lazy to straighten it. Now to pick out something to wear. Jules decides to pick out my clothes. She picks out some black jeans that are ripped at the knees, a black cropped top, an olive green bomber jacket, and my white Nike Air Force 1's. i quickly dress up and load my black Micheal Kors bag with all my essentials. I grab my car keys and my watch and me and Jules head out of my room.
"So where are we going?"
"We're going shopping Kenzie, I need new clothes and shoes and all that good stuff and some new cool bomb ass clothing store just opened so we're going to check it out."
"Whatever you want bestie..whatever you want."
I find the rest of mi familia downstairs eating and chatting. I quickly give everyone hugs and kisses and tell them we'll be back soon. As I'm walking out, I'm greeted by a car which I believe isn't ours. Its probably Jules' car. Ever since her mother died, Jules' dad has done everything in his power to keep her happy. She literally gets everything she wants and all that other good stuff. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't do it so that she can forget her mother. He just doesn't want her to be as depressed as she used to be but that's a story for another time. Jules finally steps out of the house.
"New car I see.."
"Yeah dad got it for me 'cause I told him I really wanted a Range Rover so he decided to get me the Sport for graduating high school and all that good stuff yaknow.."
"So whose car are we taking yours or mine?"
"Lets take yours; hasn't moved for a year so why not."
We head into the garage and we're greeted by the many cars and we're greeted by my BMW i8. My baby. We get into the car and I immediately hook up my phone to the aux cord and I put my music on shuffle. Roman Holiday by Halsey starts playing and we drive out. Jules then suggests that we fill the gas tank them we could get along with the day.

After almost 4 hours of shopping due to Jules' indecisiveness, we finally decide to go grab a bite. I stop by some restaurant and get out of the car. We're taken to a table that is outside the restaurant and we settle down. The waiter get our food and drink orders and then walks away.
"Soooooo what was it like being away, once again?"
"Normal and horrible, couldn't wait for high school to be over.. I never even went for prom due to my lack of both friends and acquaintances."
Julianna throws me a worried look.
"Well I went for prom with Logan."
My eyes widen in shock.
"Logan like Logan Canary!!"
"Yes Logan Canary."
"I thought you hated that guy, wow, I have been gone for a reallly long time."
" Yes you have."
" While you were gone the Queen Bitch got even bitchier!!"
I let out a chuckle.
"Oh,how did you survive without me bestfriend?"I ask in a mocking tone
" I don't know," she returns the tone.
I missed this a whole lot.
The waiter then comes with our food and drinks.
"Anyway me and Logan are sorta dating now..."
I nearly choke on my food.
"Whaaattt!!"
"Me and Logan are dating," she nervously says once again.
"I heard that and I'm happy for you, I'm glad that you moved on...so when do I get to meet him.."
"Soon, I'll have to tell him first, I didn't know how to tell you.. I've been meaning to tell you for 5 months now."
"Its been 5 frigging months and you've been so quiet about it."
"Yes I have..I didn't know how you would react especially after your breakup with Max."
Uhhhh Max, my dick of an ex who believed a long distance relationship would work but he just couldn't keep it in his pants. IDIOT!! An idiot I once loved. I shudder at the thought.
We finish our food and I pay the bill and we leave the restaurant. Checking my watch I see that its only 5 P.M so I decide that we'll take a drive around to see how much has changed.
As we're driving around, Jules tells me more about her and Logan and the whole time her cheeks are flushed. I'm happy that she's happy. Jules decides she wants to sleep over so we drive to her house to grab some of her clothes. We're greeted by her father. He pulls me into a hug, one that is much like the hugs his daughter gives.
"Hello young lady, my oh my you have grown so much, you're still short though."
He lets out a tired chuckle.
Jules hugs her dad and quickly runs upstairs to grab her clothes and supplies.
Mr. Leyhane talks to me while she's gone and when she comes down he gives up goodbye hugs and kisses and tells us to stay safe.
