I gasped at the sight in front of me. My ex friend and my ultimate crush.. Although, I actually never told him how I felt because I was afraid. Afraid of what would come next, I was never good at 'falling in love'
And, by the looks of it; I was afraid of the wrong thing.
Kendra and Will made their way over to us. Kendra's blonde hair is flowing freely, but it's not crazy, she actually looks pretty. Her slightly tanned hand is grasping the hand I should be holding.
I turn my head to look at my friend Marie staring at me "lets go" she mouths. She raises a perfect eyebrow in my direction. They were getting closer and I couldn't help but feel a wave of jealousy, a feeling making me hate them.
I looked over at Marie and motioned for her that I wanted to stay. Her jaw dropped. She shook her somewhat orange hair.
Kendra and Will come to a stop in front of us. His eyes land on mine making me want to reach for him. I turn my head slightly, so I know there's a possibility that I won't do it. "Marie and Nicole hi" she smiles. I could tell it was fake. Kendra was one of my best friends.. Don't forget the big WAS.
I felt Will's stare burning into me. "This is Will" she motions to the handsome guy whom she's holding hands with.
"Yeah we know him, right Nico?" Marie speaks fast, leaving no word behind. Not even my name...
I look up to meet Will's beautiful face. There's an emotion running through it but I can't seem to name it.. Fear? Hate? Love?
"Yeah" I say my eyes locked on his. He nods, not one flicker of a sign that he was going to smile.
