The next day Tara came up to me, and we both smiled fore we knew what we were going to do today. ''The usual'' I said. ''The usual'' said Tara. We got our skate boards and headed down to Johnny's smoothies. Once we got there, we asked Johnny for the usual and sat at a booth in the back. Tara turned to me and said ''So how good of a kisser is Joshua''. My face turned red and we started to laugh. All of a sudden Tara's face turned stern and she said '' you can't be with him. I stopped laughing immediately and said '' what do you mean''? '' You can't be with him'' she said. ''You have a destiny to fulfill, and you will fulfill it, if you like it or not''. I got red, I was mad. I felt like a bull ready to charge. '' I can do whatever I want". " Tara I just don't understand, I thought you would be happy for me, but instead you make up some story about my destiny to drive us apart. '' You didn't even hear your destiny''!!!! It was to late though I had already stormed out feeling I would never talk to my best friend again.
After that I had went down to the beach to think it out. ''A destiny for me''? " I have never heard Tara sound so foolish before''. This can't be happening, we've been friends ever since we were kids. I started to cry, fore I just realized I had just walked out on the one person who has never tryed so hard to lie to me ever since we met each other.
Later that day, Joshua and I met up down by the pier to watch the sun go down. We said hi to each other then set our picnic out to where our feet were hanging over the edge. I leaned in and kissed him, but it still didn't cheer me up (no matter how much it made me want to melt). I sighed, and he seemed to notice and said " What's wrong"? I sighed again then said " Well, me and Tara got in a fight and it wasn't so pretty". ''Oh'' he said. ''Well, I can fix that". I smiled at him and we carried on kissing. Then he put his arm around my waist, and we lied down to watch the sun set.. The sunset was beautiful. It had so many different colors, forms, and possibly textures. It made me feel a little better, but it just couldn't color over my pain completely. While we were looking up at the star's Joshua said " You know what"? I shrugged, " What"? '' I honestly thought you would never like me, I was losing hope". ''Oh please" I said " I don't like you". He gave me a very shocked face, and looked worried. But before he could talk I said '' Joshua I am completely in love with you, and I've known that deep down for awhile, I just didn't want to admit it". He smiled and said '' I love you more". We laughed and I got up and said ''Come and get me". He got up too, and chased me down the beach. I am a fast runner, much faster than he was but I let him catch me anyway. And as soon as he got hold of me, he pulled me in and we gave each other a goodnight kiss, then departed heading for home.
When I got home, my grandma asked me how my day was, since she had not seen me since early this morning. I replied " Well, I had the worst day of my life, and the best night so far, Which story would you like to hear first"? " In order please" she replied. I told her the stories and all she could do was gasp, sigh, and giggle. After I was finished, she looked at me, suddenly serious, and said '' Sweetie some day soon you'll know why these things are happening.... soon I promise". She coughed so hard that it made her tear up. My sister ran in and said to me " We should probably put her to bed, she hasn't been feeling well all day". I said okay, and we headed to grandma's room and put her to bed like she was a child. When we got into our pajama's and got into bed, I asked Dusk why she didn't call me when grandma was feeling bad all day. She said it wasn't to serious and then lied down to sleep. After a minute I heard her soft snoring, and fell asleep to that.
