Chapter Thirteen: Tamler VS Rickmi

I sing Emily Kinney's song at Zubble that next morning.

After the shift, which is only a couple days a week, I meet with Tyler at the mall.

"People are totally shipping us, Boo." Tyler says as we sit in the food court.

"Really?"

"Yeah, look."

He showed me the comments on his newest video, of me chasing him, and scrolls through the comments saying why can't they date? and why does Tyler have to be gay?

But most say the same thing: #Tamler

"Tamler?"

"Yeah, we are shipped."

"How cute."

A girl comes up to us, wearing a Tyler Oakley shirt.

"Hi, you're Tyler Oakley." She says, obviously nervous.

"Hi!" Tyler says sweetly.

"Can I have a picture?"

"Sure!"

I take a picture of them, and then she says "And you're Tami!"

We end up taking selfies of all of us.

"That felt weird." I say after she left.

"Its alright." He says.

I am at Ricky's later, helping him decide between three types of cheeses for tacos we are making.

"Wait, what kind of cheese even is that?"

"I think its mozzarella?"

"No mozzarella is lighter..."

This goes on for, like, five years.

We make the tacos and eat them while chilling on the couch.

"So, Tam, you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"The Connor thing..."

"Its fine." I stop. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Have you ever felt feelings for someone you know would never be able to like you back?"

"Who would never be able to like you back?" He asks.

"Someone... gay?"

"Connor?"

No. Tyler.

"Yes." I say.

"Its alright, you'll be fine." He says, taking a bite.

A couple minutes later, he laughs really loudly at something on his phone

"What?"

"Listen to this." He says. "Rickmi for the win! This one is cool too... They just became friends but they are like PB and J together."

"Really?"

"Oh wait, this one has 136 thumbs ups..." Ricky says. "Rickmi vs Tamler starts tonight!"

"What do they mean?"

"Hold on."

He searches rickmi vs tamler in the tags on twitter and a whole crapload of videos pop up and twitter posts.

Most of the videos are of me and Tyler with a sad love song playing, some of me and Ricky, and some are trailers of fanfictions that apparently people are writing about Tamler and Rickmi.

"Whoa."

"People get into this stuff."

We laugh as I get a call.

"Hey, Bear."

"Wanna make a video?"

"Sure, I'll be over in a couple minutes."
