I don't know what came over me, but maybe it was the fact that I only slept for two hours before I woke up from my nightmare. I can't fall back asleep, and for some sickening twisted reason I felt safe and comforted in the forest ever since I met Shadow.

So that's where I went. Into the forest at about 4 in the morning. What a smart-ass I am. *note sarcasm*

Even after what Grayson told me earlier in the night about the dangerous animals lurking around, I felt like it was calling for me to go back in.

A death wish? Maybe. Did I know I could possibly get ripped open by a vicious large animal? Yes. Did I still give a shit? No.

I didn't even have the decency to put on a pair of shoes. My bare feet would step on a sharp rock or snap a twig and occasionally I could feel a squish from a once alive bug. Disgusting was an understatement.

I stopped in my tracks, knowing this was the edge of the forest that I was comfortable with. Any farther, and I would have a sick knot in my stomach, but from my drowsiness and the memories my nightmare brought me I didn't hesitate again to continue walking forward.

And as cliché as it can get I heard a twig snap beside me. My head snapped in the direction but nothing was there. I cautiously continued after pausing.

Another twig snapped on the other side, and I instantly felt something was wrong from my gut. I mean what did I expect coming into a dark forest at 4 in the morning with wolves lurking around? Shit.

Now there was a twig snapping behind me, slowly, like it was a larger stick. I cringed.

"Stay still." A deep voice ordered behind me. I froze instantly, eyes wide with horror as I visibly gulped. My heart beat a million miles per hour as I heard slow footsteps advance closer behind me.

Without a seconds hesitation I darted forward, hoping for nothing but the best. My ears were pounding the song of my heartbeat, basically rock music.

I could tell the man was on my heels, as I knew he was probably expecting me to run. He was fast I could tell now, and I could tell also that I was screwed. So what do you do when you have no chance out-running a man in the forest? You scream. And how loud did I scream? Pretty damn loud. I'd be surprised if my home country Ireland didn't hear this scream.

I wasn't too far in the forest, I knew that, so I was praying to my core that Grayson or somebody else heard my desperate, bloody scream.

I was tackled to the ground, leading me to fall on poky sticks and hard rocks.

The man straddled my waist to keep my legs away from any defense I could possibly use. He used one hand to pin both of my arms above my head and the other hand to clamp it over my mouth. My chest was heaving up and down from the marathon I just ran, and I didn't like how it made my chest look bigger from that.

He had dark brown hair, swiftly in a quiff and his face was clear of stubble or acne. He looked my age, but I couldn't be so sure.

I stared, wide-eyed into his dark blue eyes. They were eyes I've seen before, ones you couldn't replicate, but I couldn't quite place a face. They darkened quickly, and I could see the lust evident as he examined me.

A smirk plastered across his lips.

"I knew even from a mile away that you are human." He chuckled after, removing his hand from my mouth to trail his fingers down my cheek. I whimpered quietly, flinching from his touch. It burned in a way.

"Are you scared?" He pouted his bottom lip in a mocking manner. I chose to stay quiet, because knowing myself I would probably be snappy with snarky comments that would worsen what he was going to do to me.
