~~~skip 4 months ~~~
Jake and I are cuddling on the couch watching the Lego Movie. While we were watching it I felt pressure building up between my legs. I didn't think anything of it, at least not until I felt a pop and water running down my legs. That was when I realized that my water broke. I should've realized this earlier because of all the pain I've been in for a few hours now.
I looked up at Jake. He finally noticed me looking and asked,"what's wrong baby?". I look at him and tell him," my water just broke". He looks at me shocked," really?!". I nod my head yes.
He quickly gets up and helps me up. We quickly make our way to the car and get in. Jake quickly drives off to the hospital. During the whole ride there I was having contractions. We finally get there.
He helps me out of the car and into the hospital. He goes up to the front desk and talks to the receptionist. She calls a nurse and the nurse brings down a wheelchair for me. Jake helps me sit down in the wheelchair before following the nurse who is taking me to our hospital room. When we get into the room I'm moved onto the bed and we wait until the doctor comes in.
A few minutes later the doctor comes in. "Hello I'm going to be delivering your baby, my name is Dr. White" the doctor says. He then starts hooking me up to all these monitors. Then he leaves the room after doing his job. Before he leaves the room he says that he'll be back to see how dilated I am.
Not long after he leaves the contractions start again. Worse then before. Jake notices and walks over to me and rubs my stomach while kissing my forehead. He whispers softly in my ear during each contraction. After awhile the doctor comes back in.
He checks to see how dilated I am. "You're at 6 right now, 4 more to go and then you can start pushing." He tells me. I groan into Jake's neck hearing that news. He softly rubs my back while whispering in my ear. "It'll be over soon baby. It's going to be worth it when we get to meet Lilly." He whispers.
~~~2 hours later ~~~The doctor comes in the room for the 3rd time now and checks. "You're fully dilated, so you can start pushing in a few seconds." He tells me. I smile at him. Jake gives me his hand to squeeze. The doctor gets his nurse to get him his supplies.
"You can start pushing now" the doctor says. I start pushing. This hurts like hell. But one good thing comes out of this. I stop pushing to breathe for a few seconds. Then start pushing again while squeezing Jake's hand.
~~~an hour later ~~~
At 7:15 A.M. Lilly Anne Case was born at 6 pounds 5 ounces. It hurt like hell. But it was worth it, because in the end we got to meet Lilly. I would honestly go through the pain again for her. Jake was crying when he seen Lilly. I can already tell she has us wrapped around her little fingers and it hasn't even been an hour of her being here.
