Chapter 27

August 28th
~Joey's POV

"Joey!"  Cat came into the living room and sat down next to me.

"Dammit Cat, you scared me!"   I said through a mouth of Lucky Charms.  My favorite anime played in the background.

"Finish your breakfast and then we have to vlog.   Remember, we're doing that food thing."

"I remember, I remember."  I spurted out through a mouth full of cereal.

"Yeah, but you'd totally be lost without me."   She joked.  I couldn't help but to agree.  After I finished my breakfast, Cat and I went upstairs and filmed her video.  After we were done, I pulled out my vlog camera.

"Ah good day everyone!   So, just waking up, you know.  No big deal."  Cat rolled over onto me.

We continued vlogging.   Wolf joined us in bed.  "He loves the boobs!   They're his pillows!"  Cat joked when Wolf buried his face in Cat's boobs.  I finished the vlog and shut the camera off.  "So, anything new about the box and maybe a ring?"  She asked.

"Nope.   I mean, whatever.  Maybe I was just being excitable.  Like I am."  I joked.

"You don't seem too shaken up about it."  Cat said cautiously.

"It'll happen when it'll happen."  Cat gave me a condescending look, but I ignored it.  Sure it kinda sucks that he hasn't brought anything up about it, but it's his choice.  Cat left later without any more mention about the ring.   I putzed around the house and noticed Daniel sleeping out on the lawn chair outside.  An idea popped in my mind.  I grabbed the video camera.

"Alright guys, Daniel is taking a nap outside on these new chairs that I just bought for outside.  And I'm gonna go out there and scare him."  I walked outside slowly and came up from behind Daniel.  "HEY!"  I yelled at him.

"Oh my God, I hate you!"  He said, getting pissy.  I turned off the camera and laid down next to Daniel on the lounge chair and snuggled up next to him.  "I really hate when you do that."  He said.

"I know."  I said in a snotty tone.

"You're such a bitch!"  Daniel said, playfully hitting my shoulder.  

-Later that night-

~Daniel's POV

I sat on the couch while Joey filmed another one of his gaming videos.  I turned the TV off and pulled the ring out of its box that was in my pocket.  It's been really bothering me that I can't just go up to him and propose.  But that's totally crazy!  We haven't been dating long enough to get engaged yet, have we?  Wolf sat next to me and sighed.

"Me too, buddy."  I said, sympathetically.  I looked outside to the tent that I had set up.  I put the ring back in the box and put it back into my pocket.  I grabbed Joey's camera and turned it on.

"Ok guys, Daniel here."  I started, awkwardly.  I haven't quite gotten used to talking to a camera yet.  "So I decided I'm going to be pranking Joey, big time!  So, he's gotten me countless times; scaring me so much.  And Wolf and I.  Come here..."  I said, pulling Wolf over; as if that would make me look less awkward.  "Wolf and I decided that we're going to get him back tonight.  So what we're gonna do - I'm gonna tell him that I have a surprise outside."  I continued to tell the camera my plan about tossing Joey into the pool.  I then called Joey downstairs, which was tricky because he doesn't like to be disturbed when he's filming gaming videos.

Joey came down, looking more gorgeous than ever.  If it weren't for the fact that I had a camera, I would've done him right then and there.  On the flip side, I was trying to act normal because of the camera being there.

"You have to wear this blindfold."  I told him.  I saw the look n his face and knew that this was gonna be a chore to get him to follow along.

"You're sick!"  Was his response.

"You have to trust me."  I gave him my best pouty face.  I proceeded to blindfold Joey.

"I don't like this."  Blindfolding is the one thing that he'll never let me do, no matter what the circumstances are.

"You're fine, just hold on to me."  I said, guiding him to the door.  Wolf followed close behind.  I patted him down, "checking for his phone".  Good thing he doesn't know I'm filming him.  He is still really secretive about our relationship.  "Hold on to my back."  I told him as I led him outside.  He tickled me.  "Stop!"  I giggled hysterically.  I could feel my face burning red because usually that was an invite for a kiss, and holding back when he films is torture.

I swear that every time he turns on the camera, its like he purposely drives me crazy because all I want to do is kiss him but I know that he isn't ready for us to be public yet.  Even now when he doesn't know we're filming, it's a struggle.

Wolf barked.  "Oh my god, what is he barking at?!"  Joey said in concern.  He can worry so much sometimes.  

"You're fine."  I tried to console him.  I brought him to the side of the pool.  Wolf barked again.

"Is there another dog out here."  Joey asked in concern.  "Can I take the blindfold off yet?"

I waited a few minutes to answer.  "Yes."  As he took the blindfold off, I pushed him into the pool.  Joey screamed.  "Oh sweetie you fell into the pool!"

"You.."  He said, swimming over to the side of the pool.  "What is that?"  He asked, referencing to the tent that I had set up.

"It's a fort that I made for me and Wolf."  I coped out.

"You're sick in the head!"  He said with that adorable faked pissed off tone of his.  I turned off the camera, put it on the table, and walked over to the side of the pool.  I reached down to pull Joey out of the pool.  I tried pulling him up.  Instead, I feel in too!  Joey laughed his ass off.

"Bitch!"  I yelled, pulling Joey into a tight hug.  I pulled him into the deep end.  "Hold your breath."  We both gasped in air and I pulled him under the water with me.

The pool lights shone bright against us.  We watched each other underwater for a couple of seconds.  The lights made his eyes glow.  It honestly felt like something out of a Lana Del Rey music video.  We just kept each other's gazes until we finally moved in closer and kissed.  It wasn't until we both pulled up from the water, gasping for air that I remembered that I had the ring in my pocket.  I jumped out of the pool and took the ring out and placed it in a paper towel in my jacket pocket on the lawn chair.

Joey came up behind me and rested his head on my shoulder.  "What was that for, baby?"  He said, with sex in his voice.

"Nothing."  I turned around, with a smirk on my face, praying that he wouldn't find out about the ring.

"So, what's up with this fort?"  Joey said, pulling me over to the tent.  I had pulled a big, white bedspread over a clothesline and had pinned it down into a tent with pillows and candles and flowers.  A big, white comforter was laid in the tent with white pillows.  Many white blankets were spread around in the tent.

"I wouldn't want to get this amazing fort ruined, now would I?"  Joey pulled off his shirt and pants and climbed into the tent, motioning for me to follow.  I pulled my pants and shirt off and followed him into the tent.  I grabbed his face and and looked into his eyes before kissing him.  He moaned and played along.

It wasn't until we were far into the heated make out session when I accidentally moaned, "I want to be with you for the rest of my life."

Joey pulled away and looked at me with a look of confusion and uncertainty.  "What did you say?"

"Nothing."  I said, smiling and trying to brush it off.

"Is there something you wanted to ask me?"  Joey asked, grabbing my hand.  He knows...

"No.  I was just saying that I love you so much."  I said, entwining my fingers with his.

"Ok."  Joey said with a hint of disappointment, as I kissed down his neck.  

"Now get over here."  I pulled Joey under me.
