A/N: Thought this would be a cute idea XD
Mannequin
Shopping. Levi's worse nightmare. Especially when Petra's involved. Who knew she'd be one of those girls, asking their boyfriends to carry all of the bags and boxes of shoes, maneuvering from store to store.
One minute she'd be browsing, exclaiming, "Oh this looks nice," while holding whatever caught her eye and the next minute she's complaining about her tummy refusing for her to resume shopping for the sake of food as they pass by the food court. Then she's already at another store—wait never mind she's already trying on a pair of heels.
Does this woman ever sit still? Levi thought as he scuffled his shoes against the smooth marble in the shop, desperately trying to catch up with his girlfriend—not to mention being handicapped with hundreds of shopping bags.
Does this woman ever show mercy?!
Unfortunately for Levi, his question was answered when Petra's walking pace sped up. Just great.
It was just about time when they arrived at the last store (at least that's what Levi hoped for) and Petra finally decided which dress she wanted to buy after hours of trying various colors and styles of who-knows-what they're called.
"I'm going to wait in line, Levi. In the mean time, you can go ahead and sit down at one of those benches out there." Petra pointed out the store and winked. "I know that today has been a tiring day for you."
Levi curved his lips ever-so-slightly, appreciating his girlfriend's consideration. He was glad to see that Petra wasn't completely merciless.
Levi walked out of the store and sat down at the bench.
Tick tock. Levi waited.
Tick tock. Waiting.
Tick. And still waiting. Tock.
Oh TICK to the fricken TOCK Levi was still waiting after thirty minutes passed.
What is taking this woman so long?
Surely the line isn't that long right?
Right?
Singing heavily, Levi grabbed all of Petra's shopping bags, got up, and made his way back inside the shop to see what was up. He weaved in out through groups of teenaged girls blocking his way to the left of the store, which was where the cash registers were located, and when he finally finished weaving, saw Petra STILL waiting in line.
"Petra," Levi called out, his voice emphasizing a tone of annoyance. "What's taking you so long?"
Petra looked over at his way and then at the customer right in front of her, frowning while doing so. "I've been waiting for this customer to move forward but she hasn't budged at all."
Levi looked at the customer closely and frowned too... Only... Not because the customer wasn't moving but because—
"She's a mannequin, Petra."
Petra widened her eyes. "No... She can't b—"
...
...
"I'm such an idiot."
"Yep."
