Update Status: What's on your mind?

What's on my mind? Niall was definately on it. A lot. He had left for Los Angeles a week ago and I was still torn up about it. Let's rewind, shall we?

After my parents found us dancing around the kitchen, they decided to go take a soak in our hottub out back and left Niall and I alone for a quiet second-dinner to ourselves. He left after and I trudged off to my room before my parents came back in.

Tuesday consisted of testing in every single class but one, P.E. I hate putting extra effort into P.E. because I already put hard work into my training in and outside of practice. And nobody wants to be bossed around the track or weight room by an old man who clearly needs to work out more that you. Sorry, but no. Just, no.

I was wrapping my hair into a messy bun on my head, and adjusting my teal infinity scarf over my clingy longsleeve black shirt as I approached my locker. It was a little difficult because I was trying to defy the lunch-rush surge. Which was also why I didn't see him leaning against my locker right away. He was playing on his phone and had a paperbag clutched underneath his arm. I had been so irritated with my teacher at that moment, I had almost walked up to him without realizing it!

He had brought me sushi for lunch! It was honestly the cutest, and most considerate thing anyone had just randomly done for me in a long time, and I was so tempted to kiss him then and there.

But I didn't. I gave him a giant hug instead. I let go at somepoint, too conflicted between my hunger and appetite for his hugs to sit down and eat. He had lunch with me, but left before fifth period started and I resumed my life in the hell-hole of tests.

He didn't stop by that evening, instead had he sent me a text explaining he was "busy with the lads at the beach. xx". I had opened the picture attatchment to find Niall and two other boys smiling into the camera. Well, one of them was crossing his eyes and sticking his tongue out (the caption read his name was Harry, and the other one was Louis).

The sun was setting in the background behind them, and there was a huge bonfire illuminating the back of the boys' heads, making their faces darker than normal. Two other figures danced around the fire in the background, and Niall had written that they were Liam and Zayn. But I couldn't make out the difference between the black shapes.

He was a no show at lunch on Wednesday either. After school though, I had just finished showering after my run and was towel-drying my hair when my mom yelled to me from downstairs that someone was here to see me.

There wasn't any messages or missed calls on my phone. I shrugged and trotted down the stairs two at a time and had come face to face with him. He looked so shy and nervous, hands deep in his pockets, zipper on his grey hoodie almost all the way up. He had looked like a turtle with his head popping out of his jacket.

All he had wanted to do was hang out; watch movies and cuddle because he was leaving early the next morning. And that's exactly what we did. We watched White Chicks and laughed our asses off, then cuddled through five episodes of Psych and two episodes of How I Met Your Mother. My mom had made soup for dinner, and (miraculously) left us alone to to enjoy ourselves and eat in the family room, watching our shows.

I was shocked, but eternally grateful she didn't interrupt us to make me do the dishes. I guess maybe finally having a guy around made my parents forget I have chores. Maybe I should start bringing guys home more often!
