Never Been Hurt (Cari) (Sequel to 'The Hate Factor.')

Chapter 1. Heading Back Home.

Ariana's POV

Here I was, living my dream with some of the greatest guys I know! I was on tour with CODE in the U.S. and we just finished an amazing show in New York City!

"I didn't know you danced so well Devin!" I exclaimed sarcastically when our concert ended and we went backstage.

"Oh, it's a hidden talent of mine." He joked. Cody punched him in the arm lightly.

"A talent? Wow Devin, just wow."

"I was joking, couldn't you see that?" Devin answered.

"I know, I was just teasing."

"Last concert for two weeks! Break time for us!" Ethan celebrated. Yup, two weeks of no concerts for us. We'd be flying back to England late tonight.

"That also means date time for us." Cody smiled.

"You bet!" I replied happily. Cody and I had been dating for about eight months now, and stronger then ever! It was really nice that we were on tour together too.

"Hey, I'm gonna call Lauren, I'll be right back." Ethan said, then left. Devin and Owen followed to call their girls too.

"Well, what should we do while waiting for them?"

"For a start, you could tell me what you want to do when we get back to England." Cody asked, smiling.

"Cody! Ariana! Where the heck are you two?!" We heard two voices exclaim. They sounded very familiar.

"Niall? Demi?"

"The one and only!" Niall shouted again. Cody and I went to go find them. "Hey guys!" Niall exclaimed. Niall and Demi

"Hey you two! What are you doing here, I thought you were...?" I started

"Niall wanted to fly in for the last concert of the season. So Niall flew in and we met up for it." Demi added.

"Awesome!" Cody added. 

"Where's the other three?" Niall asked. 

"They're calling their girlfriends letting them know tour is over for two weeks." Cody replied. 

"Speaking of which, how are your tours going?" I asked Niall and Demi. 

"Great! Everything is going really well!" Demi answered. 

"Same here. We have two more shows back in England before our break." Niall added. 

"My break ends today, so tomorrow I have another show here in the U.S." Demi told us. 

"So that's another reason I flew in. We're getting some time together before Dem goes back on tour." 

"Hey Niall! Hey Dem! When did you guys get here?" Owen came back out with Devin and Ethan following. 

"We came to the concert of course." Niall told them. "You all did great!" 

"Why thank you." Cody smiled. 

"Dem and I should probably get going now. We'll catch up later." Niall added. 

"Alright, bye you two." I said as the other four boys followed. 

Later on, we got back onto the bus, headed for the airport. First we stopped for food though. Then, we got to the airport. Here was where we needed guards to drive all the fans away and get us safely onto the plane. 

"I'm pretty sure getting on planes just gets crazier and crazier each time!" Devin exclaimed.

"Yeah, I think you're right." I added. 

"Well, we're headed home now. Two whole weeks off." 

"Oh yeah!" Cody cheered. 

I slept for literally the whole flight, which was about five hours. So we arrived back in England around 8 AM. It felt like 3 AM because it was back in the U.S. I was whopped so once I got back to my flat, I crashed on my bed and didn't wake up until around 1:30.

When I actually did wake up, my phone was ringing so I looked to see it was my sister Melodie. I answered it.

"Hello?" I asked sleepily. 

"Ari? Hey, you're back!" Mel said excitedly. I yawned again and smiled.

"Yeah we arrived around eight, but I just woke up."  

"Oh, sorry I didn't mean to wake you up. Mum and Dad just wanted to see if you were home." She apologized.

"It's ok Mel, I needed to get up anyways. Why don't you three come over? My flat is partially a mess with all my stuff from tour, but I haven't seen you all in two months." I answered.

"When exactly?" 

"How's now? It'll get me motivated to get up and clean up some of my stuff."

"Alright, we'll be over in a sec!" Mel hung up as I got up and started unpacking my clothes. My parents also had the keys to my flat, so I'm assuming they cleared out my fridge of all my food. Yup, no food. 

Thankfully I still had some snacks in one of my bags. I'd just have to find them. 

"We're here!" My mum shouted as the front door opened. 

"Mum, Dad!" I left my room and went to hug them. 

"Hi Ari! How have you been?"  Melodie followed behind them as I went up and hugged her too. 

"I've been good, tours been going great so far. How about you three?" I replied, 

"We've been doing well." Mum answered. 

"We brought back new food for you. Since Mum cleaned out your fridge after you left." Dad smiled. 

"That explains my empty fridge. Thanks." 

"It's out in the car, I'll go get it." Dad went out to get the bags of food my Mum got me as I shoved my tour bags into my room and shut the door. 

"Sorry about the mess. I just dropped all my stuff and went to sleep." I chuckled. 

"It's fine." Mum replied. 

"So, bring us up to date on what's going on in the touring world?" Melodie asked.

"Well, we just finished our show in New York which was massive! I didn't think we had that many fans in the U.S.! It's crazy, but thrilling." I told them. "Niall and Demi came to the show too. Cody and I saw them when they came backstage."

"Aw, that was nice of them." 

"Oh, how is Cody and the other boys?" Melodie asked. 

"They're doing well, and they're so happy that they get two weeks off. Especially Cody and Ethan." I told them. 

"Here's your food, superstar." Dad smiled. I helped him put it away, then sat down and enjoyed talking to all of my family face to face for the first time in three months.
