After my packs first run with their new Alpha and Beta, we all went hunting. Catching fresh game was the best way to strengthen our wolves. I ate a rabbit and a part of a buck. Once we arrived home, we went to the confines of our own homes and slept.
This afternoon Dom and I will be heading out to find our mates. The way it works for new Alphas and Betas, we leave our pack for one week and travel to as many other packs as we can. We meet with the whole pack and see if we can sense our mates. Once we do, we take them back to our pack and thats that. But if we dont, we must wait for our mates to find us. Dom and I will be leaving soon for our first meeting with the MoonLight pack.
"Riley! Lets go!" I hear Dom abnoxiously yell. Excitement laced in his deep voice.
"Coming!" I reply loudly. I throw my duffel bag over my shoulder and lock up my room. skipping down the halls, I bid goodbye to all the bypassers. I take the steps two at a time and land with a loud thud at the bottom. In front of me is Luke and Dom. "Where is Mae?"I question.
"Still sleeping. I didnt want to wake her, you want me to?"Luke responds. I shake my head.
"No, let her sleep, just tell her that I said goodbye and that I love her."
"Yes Alpha." I didnt realise thatI let some Alpha command slip through my voice.
"Take care of the pack Luke." I say softer. He nods and bows his head in respect. "Lets go Dom." a big smile plasters on my face and I grin at them both. We leave the pack house and head to the woodline; we strip and shift into our wolves, slinging our bags over our massive shoulders and start to the border of the Blood Rose pack and the MoonLight pack.
About an hour has passed since we set off, we are currently in the mahogony office of Alpha Daniel of the MoonLight pack.
"They are ready for you, just outside the house. All 150 of them."he states as he lead us through to the front door. Outside the small one floor pack house stands all 150 unmated members of the pack. I sniff the air and try to scent my mate. The smell of lemons and dirt heavy in the air. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just the packs' scent. I shake my head at the Alpha and their is a sigh of relief. As the biggest and most feared pack in the US, everyone is terrified of us. Especially our "ruthless"Alpha. I roll my eyes and look over at Dom; he shakes his head as well.
"Thank you Alpha Daniel for your hospitality." I nod respectively and Dom bows. We head to the trees and head out for the next pack.

We have been to six different packs; the MoonLight, the FairFelds, the Blood Hearts, the Klans, the Ophelia, and the RestFires. Each was a bust. We have been gone for five days and have two more packs before we have to make our way home. I honestly lost hope after the third pack we visited. Dom and I are walking to the border of the Crusades pack; I was sulking according to Dom. The Crusades consist of 125 pack members, mated and unmated, and the most suprising thing is that their Alpha is a female. I met her once a while ago. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She had long, curly fire red hair, bright green eyes and killer curves. She was a beauty and that was when I was 13 and she was 12 so I dont doubt that she is even more magnicent now.
As we approached the border, I could scent something sweet. Vanilla cupcake and nature. My wolf yipped at me to pick up the pace and I did just that. Dom followed and we halted at the border, waiting for the packs Alpha to let us cross. Just then an all black wolf stepped through the trees.
