It's time.
I am going to become the Alpha of the Blood Rose pack.
I stayed behind after the funeral to help prepare for the ceremony. The chairs were put up, the caskets taken away for burial and the podium taken to the church.
Once everyone arrives we will all shift and the ceremony will take place through the pack mind link. Dom, Mae, Luke and I wait at the edge of the forest for the pack. Individuals start coming back and chit chatting till eventually everyone arrives.
"Please, everyone, shift." I yell out over the ruckus gaining the attention of the crowd. Everybody undresses and waits for the front four to shift. I fall to the ground and imagine my large wolf. After my own shift, Mae and Luke then Dom. Subsequently, people start their transformations.
'Now, let's begin.' The eldest male Micah starts. 'Beta Luke, do you believe that your position will be well executed to the best of Dominic Harper's ability?' He questions.
'Yes I do believe so.' Nodding in response the preacher starts to chant some Latin words and you could feel the power transfer from Luke to Dom. Immediately Dom's wolf start to grow in size. His normal large sized, red brown fur wolf grew to about my wolf's height. After the growth, the old white wolf of the preacher turned to me.
'Now, do you Riley Reid take full responsibility for the Blood Rose pack of Minnesota after your father? Do you solemnly swear to put the pack before yourself? Do you promise to rule with all fairness and consideration for this pack? If you agree and promise to do as said raise your right paw and say I do solemnly swear to do this pack justice while I rule as Alpha.'
Raising my right paw, I repeat the phrase. Automatically the surge of power takes over me. Coursing through my veins as my form becomes taller and wider. I hear multiple gasps at my new reformed size.
'Alpha Riley.' Dom gapes. He drops his large head as a sign of submission. The rest of the pack follows suit as they show their respect to the new Alpha.
'Beta rise.' Dom rose and accepted his respect as Beta. 'All rise.' I command the pack. They do and I take off in a run and everyone follows as we run the perimeter. My claws dig into the soft soil and I let out a low howl that seeps power. Launching myself ahead as I get the others howling response.
