Sam Winchesters Daughter

Chapter 7

Sam POV

"What?!"I said raising my eyebrows.

"Her name is Rowan. 15 years, 6 months and 11 days ago, you drove Grace Hopper-" Cas began.

"Wait. Grace hopper. Is she that girl I met in high school?" I said racking my brain for information.

"Was, Sam. She died when demons attacked their car" Cas sighed gesturing to the girl on the couch. "Looking for you."

"Woah! Don't make out like it's my fault! How was I supposed to know she wanted it in the back seat? By that time it was already too late! She knew damn well what she was doing!" I yelled unable to control myself.

"Sam, shut the hell up!" Dean said. "This girl is our responsibility now. Who cares about what you and Hopper did? Get over it and be a dad!"

I sighed and squeezed the bridge of my nose. Dean was right. I didn't even know I had a daughter. I wasn't even sure it was 'good' news. Another person to protect. Another life on the line. Just knowing us put her life at risk.

"We can't look after her." I said plainly, shaking my head.

"You have to!" Cas returned. "She certainly can't go back to where she came from or anywhere else. Right now, you're the safest place for her."

Dean POV

Gah! Sam's being such a baby. Why can't he understand that we HAVE to look after her? Even though she was 15, she looked capable of hunting with us. Nothing to dangerous. Maybe she could stay at Bobby's for a while and get trained up. It could work.

"Hold on a minute, Sammy." I said. "Think about this. Rowan's your daughter. My niece. She needs us."

"But, Dean, she can't be involved with our work. She'll get killed! I don't want someone else dead 'cause of me!" Sam shouted, pointing at Rowan.

"Sam, we'll be careful. We won't let her get involved in anything too dangerous. We'll take her to Bobby's, teach her a few things! Hell! She's a Winchester! The family business, saving people, hunting things!"

Sam screwed up his face but released it to reveal a much more pleasant expression. "Fine." He said. "We take her to Bobby's in two days, after we finish this case."
