"C'mon Darren, don't go... You know you want to stay.." Allison pouted. She chased him and grasped his wrist, urging him to stay just a teensy bit longer. The trees swayed with the wind. Allison could almost see him thinking, deciding, hesitating.

"You know I want to Allie." he said, pinching the bridge of his nose, " But I need to go or they'll come looking for me. You don't want them to be suspicious, do you?" He smiled.

Allison's heart melted. She hated seeing him go, but she knew he was right. He had to leave. She couldn't risk the questions. This was their secret, and she wanted to keep it that way.

"Promise me you'll be here again tomorrow Danny?" She stared into his deep green eyes.

"I promise, you know I wouldn't miss it for the world." He kissed her hand, slowly walking backward.

Her skin tingled. This is exactly why she fell for him. She just couldn't stay away. She sighed as he walked through the empty alcove, not turning back. And in that second, she knew. This was for real, the fairytale she's always wanted, the love she will never forget with the boy of her dreams.
