How did we......? (Part 3)

*********FLASHBACK******

One day we were just strolling around Swellview at nigh till we fell upon a long abandoned amusement park.........

"I don't want to go in there Levi." I try to run away but he catches me Justin Time *get it?* "Stop being a baby, and come on." he drags me into an abandoned amusement park at nine at night "This place gives me the creeps." I mutter under my breath "That's how I feel about your face." he smirks at me "This is not the time for jokes." I screw my eyes shut (if I can't see anything, then I won't be so scared)

"Why did you close your eyes?" he says slightly confused

"So I don't have to see your ugly face." I say sarcastically trying to be confident.

"If you're that scared, we can go back." he stops dragging me for a second. "I'm not even scared." I say in an obvious tone. "Then why are you squeezing my hand so tight?" he says smugly "Because I like the way your hands feel, they're so soft." I open my eyes and look at his amused expression "So do you want to do this or not?" he stares at me waiting for an answer "Durr." I say in an obvious tone then he lets go of my hand and starts walking ahead of me "Wait up." I quicken my pace, and grab his hand again, he looks at our intertwined fingers.

"I thought you weren't scared anymore?" he raises his eyebrow "I'm not." I say pretending to be confident "You know what, I'm kinda tired let's just go back." he says sensing that I really didn't want to go in there. "Ok sure." I say calmly trying not to sound too eager.

I think he understood how scared I was of that place.....So after that day he never mentioned that park again.......

****FALSHBACK OVER****

"Levi, I swear to god I will kill you if you take me there." I threaten and narrow my eyes "Well, I guess I'm gonna be dead then." he says sarcastically "LEVI!" I yell at him "I'm kidding, calm yourself." he starts the car. About ten minutes later, I start to doze off and fall asleep quickly. I hear the car come to a halt "Charlie, wake up." he gently shakes me awake and I open my eyes.

"Where are we?" I look outside and see nothing but darkness "Come on." Levi says and gets out of the car. I follow his actions and my eyes finally adjust to the darkness (this place looks really familiar). "Let's go." Levi grabs my hand and we walk up to a big sign, I squint my eyes. "Julie's Jamming amusement park." I read aloud then I realize (This is the same amusement park from 8th grade). "I'm not doing this." I turn around quickly and walk back towards the car.

"Come on you can't still be scared, that was two years ago!" he exclaims

(I can do this) I turn back around and grab his hand "Ok let's do this." we walk inside (well it doesn't seem that bad) after a couple minutes of walking around, I start getting less scared "Look a Ferris wheel!" I point and we go over to it "Let's get in it." Levi drags me over to one of the seats "I don't know...." I trial off (I don't feel so good about this). He slips into one of them and gestures me over. (oh, what the hell) I sit next to him.

"But first.....Let's take a selfie." I take out my phone and we make funny faces and I snap the picture. I look back at the selfie "Hey what's that?" I point to the black shadowy figure in the background of the picture, he takes my phone and inspects it. "Probably nothing." he gives my phone back to me, I look behind me to see nothing (maybe I'm just imaging stuff).

I shake my head and get the thought out of my mind. Then suddenly the Ferris wheel starts moving "Is it just me or is this thing moving!" I say a little louder and grip his arm. "I don't think it's just you." he says and I peer over the bar (we are defiantly not on the ground anymore) "Levi....."I say getting a little scared "Yea......" he trails off.  "We're not on the ground anymore." I grip his arm tighter. "I know." he says calmly "You know I don't do well with heights." I squeeze my eyes shut and the Ferris wheel goes even higher.  "I think I'm gonna throw up." I start feeling really nauseous.

"Charlotte, look at me." he says calmly I open my eyes slowly, and look over at him.  "You're going to be fine." he whispers and it calms me down a bit. "How are we going to get back down?" I start calming down as we go up higher. "Why don't we try to call someone?" he suggests. "And tell them what exactly?!" I say a little louder. "That we just wondered into an abandoned amusement park, and got stuck on the ride?!" I say sarcastically. "Yea, pretty much." he shrugs his shoulders. "I never thought that this would happen." I sigh and cover my face in my hands "What?" he says slightly concerned "That I would die in an abandoned amusement park sitting next to an idiot." I say sarcastically and he laughs.

"But seriously if we die here, I just want to say that......"

"Charlie, we're not going to die." he says softly

"I love you so much, like you don't even understand how much I've missed you." I sniffle a little bit. "I-I can't lose you again......" I can't even finish my sentence because I start crying. "I love you too Charlie." he says and pulls me into a bear hug as we let go, I wipe the remaining tears out of my eyes.  (I need to get a grip) "Okay, I'm gonna call the police." he takes out his phone and I nod in agreement.

"Uhh....yea hello." he says over the phone "We're stuck on a Ferris wheel." he mutters sheepishly. "Yes this is a real emergency." he says sarcastically and I start to laugh but he shushes me, then he tells the operator where we are and hangs up. "They can't be here for another three hours!" he sighs in frustration.

"Guess were gonna be stuck for a while."

"Well, at least tomorrow's Saturday." I try to make light of the situation.

"Wait." I say out loud "What?" he looks at me slightly confused "If this place hasn't been in business for years, how would the Ferris wheel move?" I think about it for a moment "I mean this thing must be really old, so it wouldn't be able to move just like a new ride." A wave of fear and a realization washes over me. "S-someone's been here." My eyes widen in fear and I look over to see Levi's shocked expression.
