Rumors become true

One night in late September in the town of Asaph,Wales, disaster was about to strike. The rumors of war and disease had been spreading. People only thought that the rumors were just what they where rumors. A small family came up with a plain to survive these rumors if they were to become true. The Kings were made up of four members there was Joe King the father who was the brains, Mary King the mother who was the cook and seamstress, Sally and Samantha who are the fighters and killers. Now the story about Sally and Samantha is that they were left on Joe's and Mary's door step before the rumors were proven to be true, when the nuclear bomb dropped on London.

Chaos erupted in the streets. People were killing each other, stealing beatings and kidnapping where a regular thing. Screams could be heard from miles away, After Sally and Samantha were trained enough the Kings moved out to the outskirts of town. There they meet two of their friends Yuri and Olesya Glebound. The both of them had started to prepare for the nuclear holocaust, they had stock piled their basic necessities for almost twenty years. They created a underground bunker where they could start farming to be protected from rangers.

As the six of them walked into the bunker they shut the vault door on the world they knew and never looked back at what they left behind. Even after shutting the door the screams and cries of those left behind penetrated through the walls and the door. Chaos that was above suddenly went deafening silent. As only a few seconds it came it was interrupted with loud booming sounds slamming against the door. Everyone grabbed one another and sat down in a circle listening to the shaking sounds of the earth praying that they would be alive in the morning.

The next morning there was not a sound from above the only sound that could be heard was the whistling sound of the wind. Samantha woke up to the sound of a gun clicking ready to fire she turned onto her side and grabbed her knife. She jumped up and saw her "Father" standing in front of her, seeing this was a drill she grabbed his gun and disarmed him. pinning him to the ground holding the knife to his throat. "Good work Sam you're getting better but next time don't turn if you were asleep because that could easily set them off understand?"

"Yes Sir!" Samantha said helping him up off the floor and a kind and warm smile was on his face when Sally came running in with Mary a huge gash on her arm. His smile quickly disappeared as he saw his wife screaming in pain. Sally placed her on the doctor table and started grabbing gauze and pure alcohol. "What happened" Samantha said demanding information from her sister looking at Mary on the table in pain. "Yuri get in here it's Mary she's hurt pretty badly" Samantha said her eyes swelling up in tears where her vision was becoming impaired.

Yuri came rushing in as Samantha left the doctor room leaving Sally, Joe, Yuri alone as she sat on the edge of her bunker. Joe walked outside of the doctor room his head held low as his hands were covered in blood. Sally followed after him placing a hand on his shoulder trying to console him knowing that they did everything they could to help her. But she had already lost so much blood on the way back to the bunker. "How did this happen Sally," he said his voice soft but harsh like daggers to make his point clear.

"Well.....we were hunting and we didn't notice that there was a group of rangers were following us and when we spotted a bear it was too late. There were about seven or eight of them and we fought most of them off but one came up behind her and." Sally stopped talking seeing how Joe started to get mad and knew he had a bad temper. "I tried to stop him but I was to late, I'm sorry dad." Sally's voice had soften and shake with sadness and fear. "I wish it was me who was killed and not her I really do mean that sir." She said as she fell to her knees and started to sob saying in between hicks "I'm.......sor.......ry.......dad....y."

Leaving her on the ground crying in her grief and pity Joe left in silence as she called out to him "daddy please i'm sorry!" He turned around and looked at her his eyes were looking through her and could feel the hate rising up in him. He grabbed a pistol that was laying next to his bed and placed it in his pocket. "Please forgive me father," Sally pleaded with him before he left the bunker as her words started to fall apart. Sally got up as she tried to regain herself but saw the blood of the only person she had that she could call her own mother. Mary was gone and Sally blamed herself for her death and now her father blamed her as well.
