Forget the past

It has been ten years since Joe King had walked away from his two girls Samantha and Sally after losing his wife Mary King to a horrible fate of events. Samantha took her father's place in keeping order around the shelter with Yuri, Olesya, and her sister. Samantha Knew that Sally and herself would have to change who they are and what they do now in life. Not only that but they had to forget who they were and become someone knew. to conceal their real themselves and hide from the world. Forgetting Joe and Mary would be that hard part for the both of them knowing them as they were their own parents. For their original parents had left them alone one night and Joe and Mary where all they had to call parents. Sally would have the hardest time forgetting Mary And Samantha would have the hardest time to forget Joe. Sally and Mary's bond was that of a how a mother protects her young in the wild, always coming to the rescue when the little one would cry for help. Mary would always be there no matter what happened to Sally if it was nightmares or just a bruised arm. Mary would tend to her and be by her side no matter what was going on around them. On the other hand, Samantha and Joe's relationship was that of a father and daughter who loved to get down and dirty with him. They would go hunting and other things that Sally found dirty and nasty but Samantha loved it. Being in the great outdoors smelling the fresh air and then coming home covered in dirt and sweat she would kill to do that again but she knew that all of that was gone now. Nothing will ever be the same now that two main people in Samantha and Sally's life are gone forever and will never return to normal. 

One morning Samantha woke up to a strange noise in the bunker. As she slowly got out of her bed she grabbed her gun and walked to the bathroom. The bright yellowish light was glowing from under the door frame hearing a metallic scraping behind the door the had feared the worst. Slowly placing her hand on the icy door handle she turned it making it click. She was then blinded by the bright yellow light forcing her to squint waiting for her eyes to adjust. There stood in front of her was Sally with a pair of rusty kitchen scissors cutting her hair.

"What are you doing up so early sal?" Samantha asked putting her gun away rubbing her tired eyes.

"Well I was thinking I should change my look and my name so that no one knows it's me now that we are independent." She said putting the kitchen scissors on the sink as she let the last stands fall to the floor. "Sam do you think he is still alive , I mean Dad?" Sally said her eyes kinda filling up with tears just the thought of the only man that she knew in her life. 

"Hey come on don't cry you still have me don't you?" Samantha said hugging her sister to comfort her and to insure her that she wasn't going to go anywhere.

"Samantha do we have to change our names so that no one knows who we are just in case is dad has a vendetta ageist me?" Sally asked with a soft and sharp voice looking up at her sister waiting for her response to her question. 

"Only if you want to Sal" Samantha responded to the question.

Yuri and Olesya went to looking for any other survivors that weren't mad or insane with whatever was up above the surface. I have been several hours when there was a loud bang and some shouting between Yuri and Olesya. "Sal get the doctor room ready we found us two survivors who are badly hurt hurry now!" Yuri commanded Sally quickly ran to the room and started to get ready for what ever was coming her way. As Yuri dragged in a body of a young man maybe in his mid twenty's Sally could see that he was losing a lot of blood. The sight of the blood sent her in to a haze of flashbacks seeing her mother laying on this vary table bleeding to death. 

"Yuri I don't know if I......" Sally started to say when Yuri cut her off saying.

"Sally we don't have time to think this man needs you forget about the past look at him, I know you can do it trust me and do what I tell you alright." Yuri said calmly to her  waiting for her response Sally didn't say anything all she did was nod a Yuri knowing that she need the confidence. "Good girl now nets get too it come on we can do this not alone but together."
