The next morning I wake up to find that I'm still in my clothes from last night. 'Great I fell asleep in ALL my make-up' I think to myself. I look at the clock to see, to my relief that I still have three hours until I need to get ready.

I hop in the shower for a couple of minutes to cleanse my body and wash yesterday away. I get out, put my towel on, and head over to my phone and put my music on shuffle. To my pleasant surprise, I Don't Care by Fall Out Boy comes on.

I sing along as I search for an outfit to wear as I travel to hell once more for the week. I choose and over-sized navy blue crew neck sweatshirt and some black leggings. Throwing my towel to the side, I pull on a bra and throw the sweatshirt over my torso. After lazily putting on the rest of my ensemble, I walk into my bathroom and turn on my straightener.

An hour later, I finally look what I deem to be presentable and head down to the living room to knock out the hour and a half I still have until I have to meander to the bus. I search through the tv guide and conclude that there is nothing worth my time being played, so I walk through the kitchen so I can get to my backyard.

I walk out into the crisp air, thanking mother nature that there isn't any humidity, and sit one of the swinging chairs on the deck as I put my music back on shuffle. To my delight, The Rock Show by Blink 182 started to softly play through the speakers in my phone. I hear shuffling next door but pay no mind to it, thinking that it's probably a squirrel or something.

"Hey, is that Blink," a voice from behind me utters. I whip around to see Calum's head poking up from above the fence surrounding the yard he was standing in.

"Ye-yea it is. I f you want me to turn it off then you can go fuc-" I start to ramble but he stops me in mid ramble.

"No no no it's fine. I like Blink." He says as he hops over the fence. He saunters over to the chair next to me and flops down on it.

"So you're an early riser are ya?" He questions.

"Oh um no not really I just fell asleep early last night." I didn't really know what to say after that so I just looked down at my feet, waiting for him to leave.

"Aurora, I'm not trying to be rude or anything but why does nobody like you, and why does Derek always tell me to stay away from you?" Calum carefully questions after a few moments of silence.

I sigh and look up at him with sad eyes, tears threatening to spill from my eyes, hoping that he'll retract his question. But as I suspected, he didn't. I sigh once again and begin to tell the story and pathetic reason that Leah hates me and how she started every rumor that there is about me. As I go through the tale, I glance at Calum to see if I can read his face, but it was next to impossible.

"That's fucked up! And nobody talks to you cause she got mad about a fucking essay in FOURTH GRADE?!" He practically screams at me after I'm done talking. I shrug my shoulders and glance back at my feet.

"She just started making rumors and my mom tried to get her to stop by telling the school, but it only made things worse. I eventually just told her that everything was fine so she would stop." I whispered trying my best to hold in my tears, hoping that he wouldn't notice.

"Hey are you crying?"

"No, my contacts are just acting up," I sniffle telling a lie. He stands up and walks over to where I'm sitting, plopping down next to me. He puts his arm around my shoulder and I tense up a little, but relax into his touch. He just had to catch me at one of my weak points.

"Listen, I know that we sorta only met yesterday and everything, but you seem pretty chill," he says softly in his perfectly imperfect accent, "and I don't want you to let her control your life."

"I shouldn't even be talking to you," I mumble.

"What?"

"I shouldn't even be talking to you," I say louder as I stand up, "She told me to not get near you. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.."

"Why would she tell you to not talk to me. I don't even know what she looks like. I don't even think I've met her."

"You're clueless aren't you?" I question intensely. "She obviously likes you and she always gets what she wants. You guys'll probably be dating by the end of the week."

"Rorey, are you out here?" a voice from inside booms.

"Shit dude get outta here, I'll see you at school I guess." I whisper-yell as Calum hops over the fence to his yard. I sit back down on the couch as Brooke walks out onto the deck and act like I was on my phone the whole time.

She smiles as she comes to sit down next to me.

"What are you doing out here this early princess?" she asks using my nickname instead of my real name.

"Nothing much, I just couldn't get back to sleep." I answered.

"So I was thinking maybe we could go out to dinner tonight and I'll pick you up early from school." She smiles.

"Yea sure where were you planning on going?" I ask excitedly.

"How about Olive Garden?"

"OMG yes yes yes yes yes!!!"

"Ok be ready then I'll go write a note." She says as she gets up and walkes into to the kitchen. Ok, so hopefully today won't so bad now.
