rain

It was a bleak and rainy day, but Cynthia relished in it. Rain had always been her favorite weather and while other people ran to get to cover, she walked more slowly then she normally did, the rain fogging her glasses and leaving dark spots on her clothes.

Dipper Sat on his bed and opened a book he had found downstairs. It was a strange book, with  a red cover and a six fingered hand with the number three on it. Dipper was about to open it when he looked over at Mabel who had been jumping on her bed only a moment ago but now layed on it looking bored.

"Dipperrr. Let's go outside, I'm bored." Mabel said.

"But it's raining out and you don't want to get your dress dirty do you?" Said Dipper trying to coax Mabel out of it though he knew Mabel didn't care to much about the state of her dress.

"I don't care about that." Mabel said.

"Ok ok."Dipper sighed putting down the book.

"Yay! Let's go." Mabel replied.

"Gruncle Stan we're going to go out." Dipper yelled.

"Hold on a minute. I want Soos to go with you incase something happens again." Stan cut in before they were able to leave.

Mabel and Dipper both knew Soos. He was one of Stan's tough looking guys and repair men though both Mabel and Dipper doubted that Soos would hurt a fly.

"Soos get out here I want you to go with the kids to make sure Gideon doesn't try anything." Stan yelled.

"Sure thing Mr. Pines." Soos replied entering the room.

The twins looked at each other before shrugging and running outside followed by Soos.

Mabel jumped in every puddle, Dipper not joining in at first but then getting into the spirit of things both of them laughing happily. Even Soos (who was technically working) got into the fun of it.

Little did they realize they were being watched. Cynthia stood at the edge of the woods looking over at the twins and their so called body guard as they played juvinially in the mud. She was wearing, what seemed to be wearing a short sleeve dress that was of plain and simple design and cut.

Cynthia looked over to them with a look between a smirk and a smile.

"Even after the death of their parents and their world burning around them, they're still just children. How is that? How could they know what's going on in this world and even just the kill or be killed stature of this town yet still be naive and innocent?" Cynthia thought to herself perplexed, angry, and sad.

She didn't walk up to them simply watched. The rain continued to come down until it came down heavily enough to push Dipper, Mabel, and Soos inside. After they had left Cynthia walked up to where they had been, staring at the puddles they had splashed in. She thought to herself sadly still looking at the ground before walking away, her face pointed toward the sky feeling the large droplets of rain hit her face.

"One day this world will be made anew but when that day comes what will it be cleansed by? Water that washes everything away leaving a clean slate to paint the new world on? Or fire that leaves only ashes, destroying even the paper the original world had been drawn on?" Cynthia thought. "Heh, I'm sure any normal person would deem me mad. Sure I might be insane but my brain still functions perfectly fine, better then fine in fact."

Meanwhile Dipper and Mabel were back in their room drying off.

"That was fun!" Mabel exclaimed.

"Yes. I don't think we've done anything like that since we were seven." Dipper replied with a chuckle.

"Hey Dipper? Do you miss mom and dad?" Mabel asked seemingly our of the blue becoming solemn.

"Everyday." Dipper answered with a sad smile.

"Kids your shifts about to start!" Stan yelled up the stairs.

The twins quickly dried off as best they could before running downstairs and into the speakeasy. Wendy was on shift too looking as delicate as a flower. But if you liked closer you could see that she was more if a rose. The way she held herself, the way her eyes darted around the room (not to mention the top of a pistol you could see sticking out of her bout if you liked close enough).

The bar was packed with everyone from police to minotaurs to society of the blind eye members. Dipper and Mabel got to work weaving through the tables, carrying trays of illegal alcohol.

***on the other side of town in the woods***

"Triangulum entagulum egassem sdrawkcab egassem sdrawkcab egassem sdrawkcab (etc...)" Gideon said a picture of Stan Pines in front of him with his eyes crossed out in the middle of a circle of candles.

The world became grey and I triangular shaped hole seemed to open in the universe.

"Oh Gravity Falls, it is good to be back." The Triangle said. "But what do you want vantriliquist dummy? Just kidding I know who you are Gideon, I know lots of things. But seriously what do you want? You pulled me away from some very important business."

A look or doubt and fear crossed Gideon's face but then he said "I want your to help me destroy the Pines family and their smuggling empire!" Gideon said forcefully.

"Hmm... Pines you say..." Bill said images flickering over his triangle form. "Alright kid, your got a deal, all I ask for I'd a favor in return. Just shake my hand."

Bill held out his hand which was engorged in blue fire. Gideon took it and shook.

"Haha it's a deal. I'm be in touch. Remember REALITY IS AN ILLUSION THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM BUY GOLD BYYEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Bill yelled disappearing.
