chapter 23

"see you later" she waved off to hunter
i grabbed my stuff and quickly left.
he didn't even realize i left.

as soon as i got home i saw matt on the couch with his head in his hands. ugh I never apologized to him.

"matt.." i started off and he lifted his head
"uhm. I'm sorry for these past few days. i just hate her, and yeah." i said and began to walk up the stairs into my room

i shut my door and played music.
great, homework on the first day.

i took out my math and english homework and began it.

today has honestly been bad.

"y/n!" i hear matt yell and run upstairs

i quickly got up and opened my door.

"what." i say panicked
"the hospital called. moms in trouble." he spoke

i stood there scared, nervous, shocked.
every bad feeling in the world.

"let's go" i say

we ran across to the rowlands and brandon opened.

he saw me about to cry and pulled me into a hug.

"what's wrong?" he asked so serious
"my mom" I spoke and christine came down the stairs

brandon, christine, ashton, matt and i quickly left.

"brandon, text hunter tell him we're going to the hospital and the key is under the mat."

brandon turned to look at me and saw the face i do when I don't want anyone to know something.

"why can't i just say we're not home?" he asked
"whatever Brandon say that." she spoke

i gave brandon a smile and I continued to look out the window. matt looked at me and put his arm around me to give me a tight hug.

these are the brother , sister moments i love.

- hunter's pov -

i looked around for y/n but i guess she had left.

i then received a text from brandon telling me that they weren't home but the key was under the mat like always.

"hailey wait up!" i called after her as i ran out the gym

"yeah what's up?"  she smiled

"wanna come over?" i ask

"sure" she gave me a smirk

we walked to my house laughing and telling stories.

"so listen i like you." she spoke to me
"but i go for every guy, most people call me a slut." she says

"i like you too i guess but I'm suppose to be making someone jealous." i confessed to her

"that's perfect." she bit her lip
"I'm good at that."

we got to my house and we ate mac & cheese.

- your pov -

"we have to take her off life support" they say

my eyes widened and filled up with tears.
i turned to matt who was the same and i gave him a huge tight hug.

i walked over to brandon and i gave him the tightest hug ever.

"y/n I'm sorry, I promise i'll always be here for you" he said while we were hugging

"you may say your goodbyes." the doctor said

we walked in the room and i looked at my mom. i thought she was doing well. what happened?

"i love you so much mom and thank you for everything. bye mom i'll miss you" i said and gave her a kiss on the cheek and a hug.

matt said his goodbye and we soon left the hospital.

we got in the car and i had a couple tears in my eyes still. the car ride was silent and i ended up falling asleep on brandon's shoulder.

i woke up as soon as i heard my phone ring.

"dad?" I questioned as i picked up the phone

"you and matt have to pack. you guys are living with me in California now. I'm on a business trip but i'll be there on thursday night." he said

i said okay and hung up as soon as possible.

we all got out of the car.

"hey i'll be back i have to go get something from brandon." i said to matt and walked into the rowlands house.

ashton and christine quickly went to sleep and i went upstairs.

i was talking to brandon when he opened the door and i saw hunter and hailey.

"y/n." hunter said
"hey." i smiled "i just came to get guidelines for a project I'm doing with brandon." i ended

"but he's in 7th" hailey chuckled

"first of all i know but there's an elective we have together and second of all i was talking to hunter and this conversation has nothing to do with you." i spoke and walked out with brandon who had the guidelines

"please don't tell hunter about my mom." i spoke before walking out the door

"I won't i promise." he said and gave me a tight hug. he walked me all the way to my house and then he went back home.

"matt." i started

he didn't even have to listen to me to say
"yes"

i put on my pj's and went in the bed with him.
I did want to sleep alone especially not today when our mom passed. 

i was not looking forward for tomorrow.

i shut my eyes and let tears come out.

I quickly fell asleep.
