In the blink of an eye
Just a whisper of smoke
You could lose everything
The truth is you never know

"You look tired." The green eyed boy points out. I lean my head on his shoulder and breathe out.

"I am. And kind of bored." He takes a look around only to witness people chatting, couples dancing indolently and guests playing games, rather loudly. His arm that's draped around me, caresses my side. I shut my eyes and savour the moment.

"Do you want to leave?"

"I don't know. Wouldn't that be rude?" I look up at him and he sweetly smiles.

"No, I can see you're knackered. Did you sleep last night?" He chuckles. I feel my cheeks heating up. If only he knew.

"Barely." I play with the end of his sweater so he can't see my face.

"C'mon. Get up." He pats my arm. I groan as he takes his arm off my shoulders. I slowly get up and wear my coat. Harry and I, head over to the group where Louis and Liam are. "Happy Birthday again, mate." Louis opens his arms and takes Harry in a brotherly hug.

"Thank you. You're heading off?" I nod and he smiles knowingly at me. My eyes go wide and I feel the heat climbing my neck.

I walk over the door and he opens it for me. I wrap my arms around myself to protect my body from the vicious wind. A pair of arms engulf me in a warm cocoon. I look up and see Harry, already gazing down at me, the height difference letting me see every angle of his beautiful face. I grin in adoration. He kisses my cheek before we get in his car. He blasts the heat on and rubs his palms. My hand reaches for the radio and I turn it on. The Christmas songs are quite honoured tonight.

I smile as I hear the unknown for me artist singing 'Santa Baby', one of my ultimately favourite festive songs.

"...And hurry down the chimney tonight..." I sing as the song ends, being replaced with the voices of the radio hosts.

"Do you want me to come down the chimney tonight?" Harry smirks and I slap his arm.

"I don't even have a chimney." I roll my eyes.

"Oh well, that's a shame. I can't dress up like Santa and surprise you." He wiggles his eyebrows. I scoff and look at the road unfolding in front of me. "Turn it up." He quickly says as the first notes of 'All I want for Christmas is you', plays from the speakers.

"...I don't want a lot for Christmas..." He screams at the top of his voice, making me giggle like a maniac.

"...There's just one thing I need..." I continue for him and he grins. He looks so young when he smiles. The song continues with us singing as loud as we can

"...Make my wish come true. All I want for Christmas is you..." We sing in unison. He looks at me. His jade eyes so bright and lively. His lips are stretched in an ever so youthful smile. He doesn't look at the road.

I can't take my eyes from his. His breath comes out ragged. Street lights, create shadows on his face. A bright light illuminates the whole car making us blind. Honks are heard. Harry jolts up and grabs the wheel. The slippery road makes the vehicle lose its route. We slip sideways to the other line. Cars are desperately trying not to crush on us. I feel dizzy, everything is spinning and all I see is white. The only thing I can understand is Harry's hand squeezing my arm tightly.
