The two sides of a phantom thief

Chapter 2

Kaito POV: Then a loud bell broke the silence and the little came towards me and said: "Hello Kuroba Kaito, or should i say Kaito kid?"  "Who are you?" I said. then the little girl said: "I'm Kayla, nice to meet you." she seemed around the age of thirteen. she looked really cute with her glasses, blouse and her skirt, but it didn't look like it was an uniform.

I asked how she knows I'm Kaito kid. she said: "I was just spying on you, you only needed to steal one thing and i knew enough to make that puzzle. But that aside, can i live with you? My parents dumped me here and never came to get me. i can help you with stealing, my IQ 170." "What?!" I grabbed her chin, she blushed. "With an IQ of 130 you are already considered really intelligent and the highest IQ a kid ever got was 165. If you're not lying, how could a parent forget a smart child like you?" She freed herself and said: "Nobody knows how smart I am. I secretly took a test and this came out. Right after the test my parents said we were going on a vacation. We went to this tower and then they "accidently" lost me and never searched for me. So it seemed cool to live with a phantom thief and to help him." She smiled cute.

Then I said: "Well I can't leave you here, for now you can stay in my house until we find your parents." She smiled brightly. We started walking towards my house. After a while of awkwardness and trying to talk she said: "Good luck with finding my parents though. They're probably already at the other side of the country working." "What kind of work do they do?" I asked. "Detectives. They take hard, almost impossible cases on as a challenge and solve them, most if the time. They are pretty popular. You know, the golden glasses. But if you meet them with me, They immediately know you're Kaito kid, because I said I was going to catch you." She said. I immediately reacted after she was done.  "The golden glasses?! They are so smart but irritating! I was almost caught by them! Twice! Aren't you then just a spy to catch me?" She started laughing.

Kayla POV: I started laughing. I said, even though I couldn't talk because of the laughing: "you think I would go this far to find you, just to betray you after that. I'm a child too, I just want someone to play with that is as smart as me and isn't a adult. So will you play with me?" He looked shocked. It's funny. then he said: "Okay, I'll play, but don't get in the way of my work." I smiled and thanked him.

Then a girl sneaked upon Kaito. she touched his shoulders and asked "Who is that cute little girl? Don't tell me, did you kidnap her?" Kaito, still shocked from the girl, said: "This is Kayla, and I didn't kidnap her, she is a cousin. My aunt forced me to take care of her until she is back from her trip." "Really?"

The girl stepped in front of me and made herself smaller. "Hello Kayla, I'm Aoko. I'm a friend of Kaito who always makes food for him because he can't make it for himself." 'And his parents?" I asked?" Kaito answered that question. "My mom is somewhere in Hollywood and my dad... Yeah, he died in a accident. He was a great magician. The best. But he died when he tried a trick. Oh, this is where I live." It was quiet for a moment. But to break the silence i said: "Cool! I live in a villa, I always wondered how commoners lived."

(La-chan's note: The second chapter! If you guys think the chapters are too short, that is because I don't want to make them to long. But I'll try to write a lot of chapters to complete the story. Oh, and please read past the spelling and grammar mistakes, my English isn't perfect XD)
