Chapter 5

Kaito's POV: We went to Aoko's house. I knocked on the door, Nakamori (La-chan's note: he is Aoko's dad, Ginzo Nakamori, but I'm going to call him that or when kaito is kaito kid: inspector N. or inspector Nakamori)opened the door and let us in. "Hey" I said. Kayla just bows and hide after me shyly. Cute, I thought. "Her name is Kayla, she is a cousin and lives with me for a while." I said. Nakamori bows down to Kayla and said: "Hey Kayla, I'm Ginzo Nakamori." She went to my other side, still hiding from Nakamori. "Since when are you shy?" I asked her. She hit me. "Ouch!" Nakamori laughed at us. "Well, come inside. Aoko made dinner for you too." "Okay!" She said with a smile. We went inside and ate, nothing really happened while eating dinner. I went with Kayla to Jii-san. "Hey, Jii-san. This kid is smart and knows the secret. So she is going to help. Sorry." "Young master. How could you do that? I thought you were smarter than that." "But I'm just smarter than him" Kayla said with her tongue sticking out. "This egoistic child is Kayla." I sighed. "I hope you will take care of me!" She said with a smile. "But Jii-san, did you prepare everything?" I asked. "Yes young master." A billiard table flipped. "What are you going to steal?" Kayla asked. "I'm not stealing, it's a fair game between me and the owner. And if it isn't what I need, I'll just bring it back." "Why? What are you looking for?" She asked. "I'm looking for a special gem, but that is all the information you get." She pouted a bit. "You're also trying to find the murderer of your dad, right? That magician?" "What, how can you know that?" I asked in shock. "I did my research right." she said with a smile. "But I still don't know what you are going to 'steal'." "I'm going after the sapphire, blue birthday. but first I need to go to school. you to though." I told her. "What?! Why? School is too easy." "I'm sorry, but you have to go. I'll bring you on my way. The school is named Kuso chūgakkō.(Kuso junior high school) Let's go." She sighed.

Kayla's POV:

We walked to my school. I didn't talk on the whole way. I was mad that he signed me into a school without asking first. Since a teacher received me, Kaito walked further to his own school after saying goodbye. The teacher, apparently called Akame-sensei, showed me the way to my homeroom class. She told me that she was my homeroom teacher and she also gives us art. She went in first and told me to wait until she calls me. She is probably going to introduce me. After a few minutes she called me inside. So I went inside. "Please introduce yourself." Akame-sensei asked. "Hi, my name is Kayla. I live in in this city. I like playing detective. I have no brothers or sisters and I live with my nephew for a while. My Mother is on a vacation with dad. Hope we get allong." People stared at me. "Are there any questions for keyla?" Akame-sensei said.
