The two thieves that met were soon very quick to become acquaintances. Apparently, Lubbock was on a mission assigned by Najenda when he spotted [Y/N] in the woods. And since Lubbock's mission was quite tough, though he did not admit to Najenda because he loved her so, he requested for [Y/N] to give a helping hand. In return, he'll provide her a shelter where she can hide. [Y/N] didn't take long to accept his deal. Aside from being constantly chased by the Imperial Army, her life's pretty boring. And so at daybreak the following day, the two set out to accomplish their mission.

"So, what's the mission about anyways? Ya hardly said anything other that not wanting to be embarrassed by your crush." She decided to tease him a bit and emphasised the last word.

"Oh shut up, [L/N]-san. We're supposed to assassin a bunch of killers who're after our head."

  "Our head?"

"I didn't tell you, did I? Hmm.. You ever heard of Night Raid?"

[Y/N] suddenly stopped in her tracks and stared wide open at him. That name was all too familiar with her. Night Raid. A group of rebels who fight the Imperial Army. A group of rebels who's against the The Emperor.  A group of rebels who killed her father, the former head of the Imperial Army division 47. Yes, while on a mission to retrieve one of Night Raid's head, her father was unfortunately killed by one of them. Though she did not know who, maybe she could learn who it was from Lubbock and kill that person. Or the whole group if she had the chance. [Y/N] devoted her entire life on killing any of the members ever since her father passed. The reason she didn't use his Imperial Arms at all was because she didn't want it controlling her, possibly taking over her like what it did to Night Raid.

"Oi, oi. Why'd you suddenly stop? You forgot something?" Lubbock stepped closer to her. And she stepped back.

"It's nothing... Really. I just remembered something. It's nothing important though. Let's go." She went ahead of him. Lubbock just sighed and catched up with her.

The both of them hadn't arrived by the time it was nightfall so they decided to camp out. With a small fire and a deer Lubbock caught, they were surrounding the fire with awkward silence.

"You haven't said anything ever since. You sure you ok?" Lubbock inched closer to her.

"Yes, i'm fine. By the way," [Y/N] had to. Now was her chance. For the whole day, she's been thinking when and what she should ask Lubbock about her father. She had to be careful. This dude's from Night Raid himself. And he could've been the one who killed her father, so she had to be cautious. "Do you know a man named Genic? Heard he was the head of one of the divisions in the Imperial Army."

"Hm? Oh yeah, I know him. Why?"

"I was hoping to fight him when I stole the crown from the palace. Sadly he's dead." [Y/N] lowered her head. She was prepared to find out who killed him.

"Oh, well too bad. I was the one who killed him." He laughed smugly as he put his hands behind his head.

'Well, t'was nice meeting ya Lubbock. But you gotta go soon. Very, very soon.'

"Woah. You must be pretty damn strong then?" She asked in a monotone voice.

"Heh. What do you think? I'm from Night Raid. I'm just one of the best."

"Wanna see if that's true?" She suddenly had an idea. Lubbock may be her father's killer, but for fun's sake, she wanted to have a bit of fun before she kills him.

"Hohoho. Are you challenging me, missy?" His face was plastered with a huge ass smirk.

[Y/N] shrugged. "How many killers are we supposed to kill?"

"Eh, not sure. I just know it's more than 80. That's why I asked you. And it's not really that I can't do it myself. It's just easier for me."

"Then, the one who kills the most gets to do what the other one wants, deal?" [Y/N] stretched out her hand to the green-haired man.

Lubbock let out a small chuckle before agreeing to her. "Deal." And he shook her hand.
