[A/N: Sorry this chapter's bit short. I'm a sadist so I want the cliffhangers to remain:) Enjoy~]
Lubbock slowly got up from the ground and evened out his breathing. That 'vision' was still echoing in his mind. He looked powerless, he looked pathetic. It was as if looking at a broken mirror. That couldn't be true. And the look (Y/N) gave. Although she killed him (he assumed) in his little vision, she was crying. As though she didn't even do that. And that perhaps it was all accidental. Once his breaths were stable again, he stared at the bodies for a moment, still in a slight daze.
"Oh yeah... I was having a little bet with... (L/N)-san.." Just saying her name out again made his spine shiver in fear. Not because he was scared of her, but because of what he always thought about her. Assuming she was the one who pierced him with the Imperial Arms, it slightly destroyed his impression of her. Why? Because before they even met, he already knew about her. As a thief, and as Genic's daughter.
Yes, that's right. And although he hasn't admitted it to anyone, Lubbock actually had an interest in (Y/N). For a lot of things, to be honest. Not just her looks. Yes, she may look badass and pretty, but what he really liked about her was her love for adventure. She's a wanted thief, the Imperial Army wants her head, and she's carrying Natseau, an Imperial Arms. But despite all that, she's still a smiling fool who enjoys all of this. Why? Because she yearns for adventure. She loves the adrenaline of being chased. The pressure of being in that one-move-and-you-die situation. He just admired how she had so much energy for those. Yes, he also does know that she's Genic's daughter. But even as an assassin, Lubbock's still a bit confused as to why she asked about him the previous night.
[A/N: And if you were wondering how he saw (Y/N) and Najenda, yes he loves Najenda, no doubt. But he just had an interest in (Y/N). That is all. Like how a normal person would be curious about a flying cat. It's the same for him.]
Lubbock went out of the area for a bit of fresh air and silence. From afar, he could hear a bunch of men screaming, begging, and other reactions after what (Y/N) gave to them. Torture. He sweat dropped. Knowing (Y/N), she'd probably give no mercy to those who even dare to get in her way.
Back to (Y/N), she just finished killing off two other people. Both with ease. Both without mercy. As she added the number of dead bodies to her memory, she gave a quick sigh. At the end of this, she'll have to kill him, so why was she even bothering with this? Oh yeah, if she won, she could make him do anything she wants. She was thinking about what she should make him do when she wins. And also how happy she'd probably be once she avenges her father.
"Maybe I'll ask him to suicide or something. Hmm but that won't be enough to--"

"Eh?" In that instant, her legs suddenly turned to jelly and couldn't support her upper body. She abruptly fell to the ground, clinging onto her Imperial Arms for support. Everything just started to spin around. (Y/N)'s head was suddenly burning. Her mind was in total chaos. Her hands starting shaking in a sudden fear and she started heavily panting as if she just ran 10km in 30mins. She grabbed her head, hoping it would cool down, and making small gasping sounds. But nothing worked. She just felt weaker and weaker until she could support herself no more. She lied on the floor for a while, trying to rest.

"W-What the hell..!! Stop it!! Argh, who's doing this?!! Oi! Reveal yourself-- AH!" She felt hot. Burning hot. As if she was swallowed by dancing flames. She closed her eyes shut hoping that it'll be gone soon. The pain was too much for her to handle. It felt like a serious fever, except cancer decided to jump in and join. (Y/N) could care less if people saw her in that state at that moment. For now, she just wanted it to stop.
When she finally opened her eyes, her whole world was dyed in blue. The atmosphere around it was eery and glum. Like a funeral for the president or something. And in front of her was not the dead bodies she killed minutes ago. Nor was it anywhere near where she was. She stood in front of the huge fire, two silhouettes in front of her (behind the fire too). Her vision was a bit blurry, so it took a while to figure it out who is was. But even just from the shadows, she already knew who it was. The height difference between them, the little child having fun, and the dad taking good care of her. The two of them smiling at each other. It was (Y/N) and Genic, her father. Just like Lubbock, she was like a third person in her "vision". However, the two figures were just staring at each other. Everything was total silence. Only the big fire dancing around beside the two of them were echoing in the background. But soon enough, someone started moving. However, it was like a freeze frame. One picture shown after another.
Genic looked like he was running. But to where?
(Y/N) took a step back in defensive mode. But why?
He ran closer to her. Where was he headed?
She took a few more steps back. Was she afraid of him?
He hugs her and stops moving. Did he miss her?
She just stood in absolute shock. Did she not like it?
He held her tightly. Maybe he really loved her?
He spoke something to her. Was that his last will?
He stroked her head lightly. What did he say?
Something pierced through his back. Is he coughing out blood?
She could not speak of all. Did the cat get her tongue?
Tears started rolling down her eyes. "Wait...Something isn't....right"
The (Y/N) who watched everything was very confused. No, not at that vision, but at the change. The sudden abruption between clips that fail to link to each other. For a moment, she felt as if someone switched the clips and forced her to watch something else. That isn't Genic anymore. That isn't her father. One second he was there, the next he was stabbed, and the next he was gone. It was Lubbock. A second after (Y/N) saw Genic getting stabbed, the next "picture" was Lubbock in his place instead.
Instead of Genic, it was Lubbock.
Instead of his clothes stained with blood, it was Lubbock's.
Instead of his tired eyes, Lubbock's eyes were fluttering from lack of sleep.
Instead of him tightly holding (Y/N) in his arms, Lubbock pushed her slightly to the side.
Instead of Genic falling to his knees, it was Lubbock.
Instead of Genic staring at her daughter, Lubbock was staring wide eyed at her.
Instead of Natseau pierced through her father, Lubbock held onto the staff that pierced him.
Instead of Genic dying, it was Lubbock.
