It was a starry night by the time Lubbock passed, just as how it was a starry night when Genic died. [Y/N] didn't say anything after what happened. Everything around her was silent, including Lubbock. She decided to carry him to the nearest tree and let him rest in peace. She couldn't complain about his wish. She asked him what she could do as payback, and that's what he did. All [Y/N] could do was regret. After she leaned him onto the nearest tree, she spotted a flare gun in his rear pocket. "Oh yeah, he told me before that he'd shoot this up when the job's done." She quietly spoke. [Y/N] decided to take the flare from him so she can signal that the job is done.

She took a few steps away from Lubbock and knelt down, facing his pale face. "Once I signal this, Night Raid's gonna take you away, and i'll never see you again." She clenched her teeth as her head was staring at the ground. "Well, this is goodbye then." She shot her arm up and fired the flare. A moment afterward, [Y/N] stood up and went to take her Imperial Arms that was still lying on the floor. As she picked it up, she glanced back at Lubbock and thought of something. Minutes after, she immediately decided to leave the scene. Night Raid could appear any minute now. Of course, the burden of regret lingered, but what could she do? What happened, happened. Nothing could change it anymore. As her feet dragged themselves back to her home, she felt a small piece of paper inside her pocket. It was stained with blood.

"Don't tell me..!"She quickly opened the piece of paper to read out what was inside:

Are you still using the green mirror?

A small smile curled on [Y/N]'s face as she kept the paper back in the pocket. "You bet I am, stupid green-head." She stared at the blue sky painted with shiny stars. "I wonder what'll their reaction be when they see him like that." [Y/N] looked back one last time. But as she did, she swore she saw Lubbock standing there, giving her the same warm smile as he did when they first met. He looked like some sort of spirit, or a ghost. Her eyes widened as she shouted his name, her hand trying to reach out for him. But then, he faced downwards and stretched his hand out as a sign to halt. When she stopped, he put his hand down, and slowly lifted his head up, smiling and said something. And he turned around, walking back to the same place he died.

"Heh, same to you, Lubbock." [Y/N] turned back around and continued to walk back to her home.

"Oi, there he is!" Najenda shouted. Tatsumi, Najenda, and Akame were running towards him when they realised that Lubbock's already dead. All 3 of them stood in absolute shock for a moment, but Najenda was the first to spot a small piece of paper under Lubbock's hand. She opened the small paper and made a small gasp. She gave a small grunt before throwing the paper aside. "Tatsumi, Akame, come on. Nothing to see here. Just a bunch of dead bodies." And she started walking away. Tatsumi, being the little curious one, decided to open the paper and try to read it. But the handwriting was all bloody and looked like chicken scratch, so he asked Akame to read it.

"Do you know what this says?" He showed her the paper.

  "Hm? Let's see..."

He gave me life, i'm sorry I couldn't do the same. I'm the death of him
