---Ike's pov---

"Firkle," he says, staring at the floor.

That's right. I can't believe I forgot...Well, maybe I can. We didn't talk , much. We don't talk much.

"I'm-"

"Ike. Ike Broflovski. I already know," he says glaring up at me.

I smiled at him, "Yeah..."

We stand there in silence for a few minutes. It was really awkward.

---Firkle's pov---

I can't believe Ike's standing next to me. I can't believe he wanted to be friends with me. I can believe however, that he forgot my name.

I'm not offended. I know that we never talk, nor have we in the past. We're too different.

I'm sure if anyone saw us, even though we're just standing near each other, they'd be confused.

That's why we can't be friends. I'm sure we both know that, though.

"So," Ike says breaking the silence, "How are your friends?"

Well, to be honest, I don't have any friends. Once the other goths got to high school, they stopped talking to me. I've seen them around, and they aren't the same anymore. So, now I'm all alone.

"If had any, they'd be miserable. What about you?" I asked. I didn't want him to ask questions about why I had no friends or try to console me.

"O-Oh... Well, Filmore is good. He's quarterback on the football team, and Ruby has been pretty happy recently. My girlfriend, Karen is always happy, she's really nice. You should meet her sometime."

Why do I always get myself in situations where it's extremely awkward?

"I already know them," I say glaring at the ground. I feel my hair slip back in front of my face. I didn't care, I didn't want him to see my face, anyway.

"Oh. Well, uh... How's school?" He asks, sounding awkward or uncomfortable.

I look up at him, pushing my hair behind my ear, "How does it look? I'm currently skipping."

He laughs and stares at me, "You're pretty cute."
