---Firkle's pov---

I nod and follow him. I sigh.

Once again, I was leading myself on with the thought that maybe - just maybe - he liked me back, but of course not.

The second something more interesting came up, I was pushed aside. I don't really have the right to be upset about it either. I mean, who wouldn't choose their cute, nice girlfriend over some random goth kid they (think) they met this year?

I sigh again. I'm just upsetting myself.

I look over at Ike, who seems to be in deep thought about something. His brow is furrowed like he's frustrated with the topic.

I shrug it off, he's probably thinking about something his girlfriend said.

---Ike's pov---

I hear Firkle sigh as we walk down the street.

He's probably upset because I'm ditching him. Who wouldn't be?!

He has that thing with Fillmore, so he should be able to understand.

'Thing with Fillmore' It doesn't even make sense! Even if they were a thing, wouldn't Fillmore tell me? I'm his best friend!

I don't think he's gay though... He's had many girlfriends. Why Firkle?

I glance over at him, he's staring at his feet with a sad look.

He's cute that's for sure. He's really cute. His eyes are big and his lips look plush and soft. Not to mention, his skin looks almost porcelain. He does have a nice, girl-like figure too.

I look back up and see him giving me a confused look.

Shit. He noticed me checking him out.

"What are you doing?" he asks, his face faintly pink.

"Nothing, just, y'know, checking you out."

Fuck, I said that out loud!

His face goes bright red as he stares at me, "Uhh... c-cool?" he stutters. Every time he blushes he looks too damn cute.

I smile at him, and laugh nervously, "Yeah, I guess. You just have a good figure, you know?" I'm making this worst than it was before.

He blushes ten times worse when I said that, "Th-thanks... I guess."

"It's because you kinda look like a girl," I blurt out.

His blush is gone and he looks away from me and back to the ground. He has his expressionless look on his face.
